Re: Predestination
Predestination is without question a bilbically based doctrine. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate , them he also called: and whom he...

Re: Questions about Molinism, Calvinism, and Arenianism...
Molinism appears to be the only position that truly embraces an infinite God. Just as a chess player (I love the game:) ) must be able to look at possible moves and understand the consequences before moving, an infinite God must be able to know not only the future in its entirety, but also must be a...

Re: Questions about Molinism, Calvinism, and Arenianism...
Although I have never heard the term before, I believe that I and a large number of men I know and know of would be considered Molinists.

unless instructed by God to do so. I never said anything about taking lives, taking lives is almost always unacceptable and i would not listen to god if he told me to murder someone in cold blood. Yep i would rebel if i was told to kill another human being without a good reason. y@};- A fetus is al...

Re: Wisdom
Laughter is good.
On a serious note, the answer for the Middle East is the teaching of Jesus:
Love your enemies.
Do good to them that hate you.
Forgive all who offend you.
Turn the other cheek.
Go the extra mile.
Give to those that ask of you.

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
I recently read the story of deborah and barak, i find it kind of disputable how these people thought that all humans were currupt including themselves..."oh but we have the escape route", screw that...ASK for WHAT you DESERVE, do not ASK for escape routes. Either you believe you are tota...

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
The Answer is pretty straight forward from Scripture. 1. God's definition of sin. 1 John 3:4 ¶ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 2.Next, are babies under law? Is there any way to communicate law to them and for them to understand it and the...

Re: Could Jesus Accept someone like this?
The Bible says Jesus was perfect. I totally believe He was perfect. He was the sinless Son of God.Kristoffer wrote:i say why not? Even good people can tell stories and fibs. Even good people make mistakes. If you think Jesus had a perfect life put your hand up.

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
It is without doubt incredibly beautiful. The work of genius as far as men go. In other words, using what humanity can produce as our standard of measure, it is very high up as far as its beauty. However, what if you use God as your standard of measure? Our best could be better. Our best is polluted...

Re: Why Create?
Because God knows and has known every detail about everything from the beginning, He cannot change His mind like we do. When He changes His mind it is part of the original plan; it is not an admission that the first direction was wrong, but is a matter of proper timing of change in direction.

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
I do not find the idea that all men are "totally" depraved, very acceptable. Its incredibly pessemistic, next you are going to tell me life would have no meaning or worth without god. Its a fallacy to say it would have no meaning, but the meaning that it would have without god, would be s...

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
Hey, I'm not really stubborn or easily offended. I can be wrong and don't mind admitting it. I love truth and stand for truth based on God's Word, but everything must be done and said in love.

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
Bart, You are right: decent was not the right word. Sorry. I was grasping for words. I should edit it. All men are totally depraved. What I'm trying to say is that in my years of ministry with different groups of people I have observed and also read some observations of others that there are inherit...

Re: Why Create?
1. God needs nothing. He never has, He never can, He never will.
2. God always knows the end from the beginning and everything in between in perfect and complete detail. He makes no mistakes and there are no surprises to Him.
3. God does everything on purpose.

Re: Original Sin / Sinners by Birth or Not
The only way to inherit sinful behaviour would be to be taught it by the parents, rather...making good people do bad things. I find it rather sickening when it says, AND the children and infants got killed. People are capable of Reforming, but in the eldest parts of the bible they are not even give...
