This is why we have peer review, independent studies to confirm a finding, and objective thinking.
Science would be a bit meaningless if it did not consider these things.

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness
Wtf? There's a video of two male animals having sex and you're saying "No. Gay animals don't exist" I came to this site because I figured Christians who try to mix science into their religion were a little more intelligent and reasonable than the fundamentalists. This is disappointing :( I...

Re: A response to this website
the issues you are bringing here are ones that come here daily. I have my doubts... But theory is not proven scientific fact. You claim you've gotten into this argument before, but I'm wondering how you still don't know what a theory is then... A theory is a collection of data (facts) that explains...

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness
By the way homo sexuality is natural from animals, is seriously something you can't prove. Are you sure there isn't a big difference between educated Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_displaying_homosexual_behavior Go to the bottom there are dozens of ...

Re: A response to this website
I'm seeing some serious misunderstandings going on here... 1.Agnostic is not some place in between theist and atheist. It is the stance most people would take (accepting the existence of god is unknowable or unknown). I am considered to be an agnostic atheist. 2.To "Evolution is just an unprove...

Re: A response to this website
what alternative do you propose to God as the cause of the universe? Not of human beings, DNA, or any of the higher order things. I'm talking about matter, energy, forces, and existence itself. Where did it come from? I'm afraid I haven't a clue :( The list of factors that the site lays out are pre...

Re: Talking to a Jehovah's Witness
I have a mother who is a Jehovah's Witness. I was raised into it from birth and it wasn't until I was about 12-13 when I got interested in things like science and reason (naturally, I found religion to be a bit silly). I didn't really talk about it until I was about 18 (I'm 20 now). She's had me spe...

A response to this website
Now, I've skimmed through most of this site for quite a while. But I'm just deciding I wanted to point out some serious issues with at least the first part(s) for now. Here are the two main issues I have with statements made in the introductory article. If I am in the mood, I'll continue through. 1....

Origin of life to "atheists"
Here's a quote I snatched from the from page. Does everything have a natural cause? Atheists believe that all cause and effect in the universe has a naturalistic origin. Observational data lead us to the conclusion that the universe first began to exist 13.7 billion years ago. Since all things that ...
