Yeah it does haha
I got a Kindle and thought it was great, but now I'm back to buying regular books. I gave up instant gratification to have physical objects.

Anyone else REALLY like leatherbound books?
Alright, so I thought I would share my latest obsession... books with rich leatherbound covers. Journals.. Bibles.. Christian books. I love them. I love how they look. How they feel. I use the fact that I really like the look and feel of a book to coerce me into buying it. (Which I suppose isn't TER...

Re: Works/Legalism/Lordship Salvation
I know what you mean by not feeling peaceful about it... I felt odd after reading parts of it. I think my biggest objection is the uncertainty the book leaves me with. How much is enough? Does God simply examine my heart to see my intention? I think Christ's salvation is a greater gift from God. To ...

Works/Legalism/Lordship Salvation
Hey guys, What do you guys think about books like Crazy Love and Not a Fan ? I've been reading Crazy Love and its reeeaaaally extreme. What I liked about it was at the beginning, the first couple chapters talked about the nature of God. That we shouldn't mindlessly approach Him, which I like. My fai...

What Bible should I get?
Hey guys... with the realization that my insides feel like they're crashing down... I need to get more God in my life. I need to slow down.. take things in.. listen to God. I'm a music education major and from what I've heard, its the hardest degree here at my school. I want to slow down and enjoy m...

Re: Ouija Boards
This stupid thing really interests me... after all, if the dark side of the spiritual realm exists, then so does the light. What I don't get is what is so special about the board. It gets sold in Toys R Us mass produced, but still works? You can print one off and it still works? Are these things leg...

Where to Start Reading and Learning About the Bible
Hey guys, I want to read my Bible more! I don't know where to start to find things I can apply to my life or help me understand God's love for me. Any suggestions? I also want to know my way around the Bible... the history.. how different stories and events intermingle with each other. Are there any...

Re: Prayers for two friends
Oh, I hate thinking about losing senses! I have the *tiniest* issues with my ears and it makes me feel terrible/regretful.
I hope everything turns out for the better! Prayers up and away.

Re: What's the nicest thing about where you live?
Haha I live in Wisconsin too! Where are you at?
I can't really think of a great thing about it when compared to some of the above. I guess I do like my hometown.. I like the range of weather. Something about where I live makes me never want to change it. I like the farmland.
But the mosquitos. O_O

Re: Two North American presuppositional apologists demolish.
Wouldn't it be free will regardless of what God thinks? Even if it is His will? His plan and His knowledge have ZERO influence on the fact that we get to choose what we want to do. In the here and now, we have free will. Therefore, we are responsible for our choices. We choose what God gets to know ...

Re: Two North American presuppositional apologists demolish.
I've always thought of the free will thing like this... (and excuse me if this is out of place, I only skimmed the last page) God knows what we will choose, but no matter what.. WE get to choose what it is He knows. It will ALWAYS be our fault for not doing something even if God knew we were going t...

Re: Stuff before marriage : /
I definitely think the whole 'compatibility' thing is bunk. If you're with someone you are good at communicating with, then you should have no problems talking to each and finding out what is best. Also, if you wait, you'll be inexperienced and both won't be worried about "good sex" ... it...

Ouija Boards
I've been watching a couple videos about them.. some say they are legit but others claim that the 'ideo motor' effect (I think) is what really makes people's hands move.
I'm just interested to know what you guys think about them? Real? Fake? Anything else interesting?

Re: The God of the Old Testament
Thanks for the support guys. I feel like everytime I'm on this site it's for whiny "I'm confused" posts and I really need to just suck it up and live my faith! There's nothing more worth living for! My personal happiness, success, and my entire purpose in life rests with God. Being alive i...

Re: Hi, Fetus
No matter WHAT the situation is, what excuse is there for murdering humans? We do not allow any excuse to justify why we murdered someone, unless that person was about to cause undue harm to us. Is a baby going to cause undue harm? Maybe, but in the majority of cases it is the 'victims' OWN FAULT fo...
