Re: Is it a bit overwhelming sometimes?

Anyway, my real question is, do you ever feel overwhelmed by Atheists? No, my hope is not built on what man concludes but what scriptures and the Holy Spirit tells me. I don't feel any dislike for Atheists and some I know are very good people and even better examples of Christlikeness than some Chr...

Is it a bit overwhelming sometimes?

Not Christianity, but Atheists. Now, I hate using the term Atheist as if they're some rare creatures that we try to stay away from, but I'm going to use it here for the sake of easier comprehension of my point. I like to spend some of my off time on message boards, and most of them are populated by ...

Are Today's Christians like Pharisees

This is going to sound silly, but I watching an episode of Community on thursday where it had the character Abed make a film where he was a sort of wise Messianic figure paralleling Jesus. Of course, things are taken out of context and such, but one quote really got to me. The devout christian chara...

Re: Expelled

I've read about it, honestly have never seen the movie, and a lot of critics say that even though some parts were funny, as a whole it was heavily edited to be extremely one sided.

Re: Why are there so many different interpretations of Hell?

I was reading over different testimonies of visiting hell and coming back , one of which was B.W.'s, and I was just wondering if we can actually trust these supposed true testimonies. The depiction are all so different from each other: with what Hell looks like, with what people are and do in Hell,...

Religion as Child Abuse

I was browsing the Intertubes as I found some critiques of this page which tackles Richard Dawkin's view of Religion being a main form of child abuse. The critiques I found are from this page from the Atheists and Agnostic section of democratic underground. What points do you guys agree and disagree...

Re: No Moral in Atheist World Argument

I probably didn't make my question clear.

Atheists don't believe in morality. What would you say to a person who doesn't believe in morality? Certainly not the above argument.

No Moral in Atheist World Argument

There's an argument that MANY Christian apologists use nowadays is the argument that in the Atheist worldview, there is no morality or "good or bad", and so Atheists cannot use the argument that how can the Christan-Judea God be benevolent and loving if He killed all of those people in the...

Re: And as fate would have it...

Doesn't this break or at least dent the apologist defense of extreme fine tuning? I mean, a lot of Creationists say that the mere fact that the Earth is the only planet that's perfectly in between the sun and the moon so that it's not too cool or hot to support life. And yes, another argument that h...
