Lust
Some theologians have argued that lustful thoughts, if put in the context of a marriage covenant, may not be sinful. What's your take on that?

Re: How to have a spiritual experience?
A LOT of it has to do with sin which clouds the connection to God. So how do you get closer clearer connections to God? First, kill off the inner sin man in your life. Kill or repent of sin in your life. Pornography, evil temptations, lust of the flesh, love of money, etc.. Next, pray to God in the...

How to have a spiritual experience?
Well? Christian apologists like William Lane Craig often talk about how the "inner witness of the Holy Spirit" is the best evidence for the truth of Christianity. He says that all you have to do is read the New Testament with an open mind. Yet, I've done just that and never experienced any...

Re: Does God exist?
Because the Christian God is the only one who can be the precondition for knowledge (other than hypothetic alternatives). But then we need to justify the authority of these alternatives. Please explain what you mean by "justifying the authority" of these alternatives. Perhaps you want to ...

Re: Does God exist?
Isn't your argument essentially a variant of the God-of-the-gaps ("we don't know how to account for knowledge in a godless universe, therefore God exists). Furthermore, I still (if you remember me from the thread on presuppositionalism) don't understand how you make the leap from "God"...

Was Jesus a racist?
The story of Jesus and the Canaanite woman is sometimes cited as evidence that Jesus was racist towards non-Jews. How would you respond to such charges?

I, too, have come to appreciate that Calvinism has the only satisfying answer to the Divine Hiddenness problem.

As far as I know, Jesus constantly attributed miracles not being possible (like casting out demons) to a lack of faith in His disciples.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your support. We're not sure what exactly is the cause. If you asked her , she would tell you that it's the virus called Coxsackie. And indeed, when she was young, she was diagnosed with this very illness. However, every doctor we've recently been to explicitly denie...

Sorcery
"Magic" and "sorcery" are condemned in both the Old and the New Testament. My question is, is it ever said or hinted at, why these activities are sinful? No, I'm not contemplating to actually get into occult practices, I am just curious. I've seen some speculation that these &quo...

The "the fool says in his heart there is no God" psalm seems to be one passage that indicates that unbelievers can't be good.

Please pray for my mother. I don't know if I can accurately describe her condition since we are not sure what exactly is its cause--she's not dying, but she has been in a terrible condition for at least three months now (barely able to get up from the bed and do anything). Thanks note: Neither me or...
