I do because ID is trying to conform existing beliefs with those discovered through scientific processes. The discoveries made through these processes are an outcome of unbiased observation. BGood, be good (just kidding). Are you saying that science has already contradicted ID? At least that's what...

Re: They're So Cute When They're Wrong
So, why is it that atheists love to claim they're the only ones without faith and a religion? Because: 1. They think they're too intellectual to believe 2. Which gives them a false sense of grandeur 3. In which case they become above mere gods 4. And start thinking of themselves as deities 5. Oh no...

I'm not quite sure which side of this argument you are on. I am on the side that you did not prove what you set out to prove. What you showed cannot be construed as irreducibly complex. Please explain how it is not. I've already given at least one example above which you yourself said was possible....

You can't see origin of species, you cant see speciation, you can't see the big bang. You believe evolution without seeing it, just as I believe in God having never seen him. You keep refering to evolutionary conjecture as fact when it is actually a theory among many that has no real scientific sup...

Another spin on the argument
I always like to simplify things (although that strategy sometimes backfires). In any case, here's my spin on this whole issue. The argument so far has always been, evolution is correct, no God is correct, as if the 2 are mutually exclusive. We tend to forget sometimes that this very website was fou...

^ and at what stage on the evolutionary ladder did it go wrong so as to become a not so ideal design. It seems that you're looking for a perfect design or lack thereof, to disprove ID. Your intent will backfire my friend as it is precisely the imperfection of the design that goes to the heart of ID....

 I certainly am getting bent out of shape. Perhaps Byblos should start his own thread and cut out the middle man. He can ask a question, provide the answer and then show why the answer is untenable. It would at least save the hassle of putting words in my mouth, which will start to bore me if ...

Hi Byblos! And welome to you too. Thanks. why don't we start a discussion with a simple question ... how do you think the universe came to be? I'd hate to know what you think a difficult question is! lol Well, it is a rather simple question of what you believe. I wasn't asking for proof or anything...

Welcome Blob, What happened with your mother is very interesting and not unlike what bought me to God. I hope that you will find answers to the questions you have. I am sure when people realize that you are genuinely looking for answers, not trying to pull their beliefs down. Then there will will b...

Thankyou Veronica This does clear up a few matters. The honouring you Mother and father approach does sort of make sense. I understand where you are coming from with the concept of honour - for example I can certainly honour the teachings of Paul and Peter while worshipping Jesus. I ask these quest...

New member, just to say Hi
Hello all, I've been looking at this site for info for quite some time and finally decided to become a member. My primary interest in this site was to gather evidence (biblical or otherwise) to support the day-age argument as I am also a member of another site (non-religious) that's run predominantl...
