The result of sanctification is justification? What is one justified of, unless their sins have been taken away? Fromt the curse of the law. (Gal. 3:13) Justification comes first. First we are declared perfect. Then the process of Sanctification begins. I don't think we're worlds apart here... but ...

This sounds more aligned with what I'd consider correct, but I'm not sure how it impacts upon your OSAS position. For example, the result of sanctification is justification, and the result of justification is salvation. But if these results (justification and salvation) are dependant on our abiding...

. . I think Jesus' words trumps all of the above "proof' texts that regard the law as the "old" covenant only for the Jews... Jesus replied: " `Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A...

While I agree on the whole, I disagree in determining someone's faith. We are told that "by their fruit, you will know." Matt. 7:15-20...We can at least have an idea of where their faith or whom their faith is in.

God created men so as to be in everlasting (your welcome, K ) relationship with them. Actually I'm not so fussed about this... really. ;) Eternal actually has two meanings, everlasting and "without beginning or end," So sometimes using eternal for everlasting can confuse things. Jude 1:7 ...

. . We uphold the law by: In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those ...

I'm not sure how this is talking out of both sides of my mouth. If it is, then the Bible itself is doing it. All I did was reference Scripture. 1) We do not nullify the Law by faith. 2) Christ removed the Law. I suspect you are familiar with this paradox and it needn't be explained. We uphold the L...

You HAVE to see the fallacy in that thinking, Bav. Now, I don't believe the OT WAS written to us. I thoroughly believe the Old Covenant has been fulfilled and that it no longer applies. It has NOT been abolished--indeed, as Paul says, it is by faith in Christ that we uphold the Law (Rom. 3:31). But...

The intention isn't to be sarcastic, Bav. I didn't intend for it to be taken that way. I was responding during my five minute breaks at work, so the comments had to be short and make the point. My apologies. That said, the point I was trying to make is that "free will" doesn't mean "...

But that's my point, Bav. What does "for" mean? I couldn't care less about the "when" in the argument pertaining to Cain's sin or lack-there-of. What I'm interested in is the existence of Scripture to make the obvious fact explicit. If it was a sin for Cain to murder even though...

This...from a moderator.

Can we stick to what is logical?...however, if you want to continue this topic in sarcasm, you're playing with the wrong guy.

If no, then I don't think your objection to RGB holds. 1) The prophecy section of Daniel was written in Hebrew. This suggests that the prophecy was/is for Israel. With this logic...the NT was written in Greek...of which you are not. The 10 Commandments were written in Hebrew...and I don't know if y...

I asked you. I think he did. The question is, do you think he did? It matters not what I think. The answer is in God's words to Cain. Now you are under a curse... The broader question is "Must it be forbidden in the biblical texts to be considered divinely forbidden?" No. To know God is t...
