Is free will limited?

If it is, then it is not free will.

If God had not said, "Thou shalt not murder," would murder still be a sin?
Did Cain sin?

Freewill is the biggest argument against OSAS (as most people view OSAS). . . Funny . . . I'm all about free will, and I don't have a problem with it ;). But then again, I don't believe we have the free choice to walk away from God. Then you really aren't " all about free will " now are y...

Lucifer was more in Christ than we are today...yet he chose to leave...explain that one. Lucifer had immortality already! Yeah but the angels are held to a different standard; they cannot be forgiven like we can. But please, 7 pages of the same circle of arguments is enough. I just thought that ver...

What dya guys think? Pretty good... If the repentant sinner all of a sudden loses his/her ability of freewill. I'll say it again. OSAS is correct only in the sense that the person remains in Christ. Lucifer was more in Christ than we are today...yet he chose to leave...explain that one. Lucifer had...

Let me ask you though, Kurieuo... (man, your name is hard to spell ;)) Does it really matter if some additional trust is place in some circa 1720 authority? As long as the ultimate authority rests with the acceptance of Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour, isn't everything else peripheral? I'll butt...

1) The prophecy section of Daniel was written in Hebrew. This suggests that the prophecy was/is for Israel. With this logic...the NT was written in Greek...of which you are not. The 10 Commandments were written in Hebrew...and I don't know if you condone murder, adultery, worship of images... :roll...

Old & New Covenants

Kurieuo: Thread split from http://discussions.godandscience.org/viewtopic.php?t=143 Old testament laws do not apply to anybody other than the Jews of old. Great!! Then you wouldn't mind if someone come over to your house, rape and kill your mother (if you live with her) and do the same with your si...

Jac3510 wrote:Suicide won't send a person to hell. That doesn't mean it's ok. It results in the halting of the sanctification process and the loss of eternal inheritance, not the loss in salvation.
Suicide forfeits "eternal inheritance?"

Is there scripture for this?

Different twist...Suicide.

.
.
Can a person who's accepted Christ at one point in their life, lived a seemingly Christian life for some years, fall into some depression as a result of some psychological trauma, and ultimately commits suicide...is this person still saved?

Is suicide ok?

I'm saddened by people who equate Wiccans to evil or the Devil, you couldn't be further from the truth. I bet you havn't been to any Wiccan gatherings, or met and got to know Witches have you? As always people always fear what they don't understand, it's human nature. There are two sides to every s...

Re: Thanks Compassion

I would like to thank the member Compassion for answering my question seriously unlike other users. Only one other user made a comment. I didn't attempt to answer your question. Although I don't consider myself searching for truth, I am looking for a Christian point of view and I am sorry if my pre...

Isaiah 45:7 NIV wrote:I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.
When you wave your hand in front of your face, have you "created" wind or does the action of hand movement cause wind?

Cause and Effect.

I think if your are beginning to think, then you are not yet good enough at thinking to make such assumptions.
