Re: How do you know prayer works?
We know prayer works empirically. Here is a journal article of medical historians studying Lourdes miracles they find they are still inexplicable. This is my summary of the article but it includes the source.

Re: How do we know that there is only one god?
We can use Occam's razor, a logical creedo which says "do not multiply entities beyond necessity." Occam said God is necessary. So one God is not multiplying beyond necessity. Yet one is all we need. More than one God is multiplying eneties beyond necessity. So we should not do that. :shak...

Re: Help required on the Lebniz Cosmological arguement.
I agree with you that (2) is deeply problematic. That premise assumes that the universe cannot be necessary of its own nature (one of the options he allows in (1)). But why make that assumption? Granted, Craig calls God a necessary being, but what makes God necessary and the universe not? Hume reco...

Re: Made up?
I have a question regarding how I should respond to someone. He keeps saying that the bible was made up from beggining to end and I don't know how to respond. Please inform me on your views on how I should respond. Thanks, seeker that's just an empty rhetorical phrase. Ask him what he means by it? ...

Re: Evidence?
so basically there isn't really any hard evidence for god There's no hard evidence for naturism/physicalism/materilism. they can't even prove that reality is material and not idealist. The little atheist game of "there's no empirical proof" is just a diversion, a front. It doesn't mean an...

Re: Doubt
Wanna learn, I went on the video of the angle caught on tape and got what i had expected. The comment section seemed to be overruled by Atheists. Both of the top comments are of Atheists "beating" Christians attempting to defend their faith. I am sorry but this didn't really help me out i...

Re: Doubt

The same goes for when i find something that says God is real i can find an atheist on youtube that can pro...

I can't believe certain people think they are Christians.

Re: What do you say to this?
why bother talking to hate groups? Ahteism is a hate group. They hate Chrisitians as KKK hates blacks. Should blacks go argue wtih the KKK and make arguments "O mr. racist you shouldn't hate us, we really good, here's my argument..." No they should not. why bother. Someone is predispossed ...

Re: Books not in the canon?
What do you people think about books not in the biblical canon? I have yet to read one, but do they bear any significance to the Bible, or relate to any stories? A friend gave me this link, enjoy. http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm Most ancient texts which purport to be Christian religious docum...

They are not infallible nor authoritative. However, 'sacred' literature from other cultures does sometimes relate to the Bible, since all cultures spring from the same source. The website Ancient Days tries to link the biblical accounts to stories from other cultures. This article may be of interes...
