Re: Christian Genocide

^ Let me re-phrase, let's not discuss our nations current political nature Our? Well, not quite, but I see what you mean. However, as far as the SSSR goes, my point was that atheism was not the final goal - it was not what Lenin was thinking when he founded it. The idea presented in this thread is ...

Re: Christian Genocide

Well I think what we've come to now is " 1) That's not quite true" and " 2) The US certainly isn't headed there". I disagree and can we not continue this here, I hate debating politics, im not even sure why I started it on this thread, bad idea. I think that was more or less wha...

Re: Check this anti-abortion site out.

seem to be obsessed with "LGBT rights". Why? Because they don't actually care about anyone's rights, they just use the opportunity to undermine Christian morals. Sadly, too few people have realized that. :shakehead: What rights are LGBT Fighting for? Freedom? Suffrage? Free Speech? Im pre...

Re: Christian Genocide

Nobody hates the rich. The idea is simply that everybody pays their just share. Rich people getting tax cuts is hardly just. Then again, you can go too far with this idea. That's why we have both democrats and republicans - to keep things balanced. Of course. that only works if they can agree, compr...

Re: Why is there something rather than nothing?

It seems to me that no matter what worldview you hold, there never was (or could've been) absolutely nothing. Theists believe that there was always God (God is something rather than nothing. If there was ever an absolute nothing, God wouldn't exist), and Atheists tend to believe that there was eith...

Re: For theistic evolutionists, question about Eve's creatio

Really? You don't see any difference between the results of the SDH translation and say, the NIV? Well, of course. The language used is completely different. And as I stated before, if you were to get out your KJV and Concordance, and parse out the verses, you would get a broader picture of each ve...

Re: Why is there something rather than nothing?

:? Something and nothing are most certainly not complementary, one is the exact opposite of the other much in the same way ^A is the negation of A. A and ^A cannot both be true at the same time and neither can something and nothing. When there is something in your cup and you drink it you're not le...

Re: For theistic evolutionists, question about Eve's creatio

Also, I read some pages from The Chronicle Project, I'm still a bit confused though. Is there, say, a (at least partial) translation of the Bible using this method? Also, since there are two "concepts" they combine together, isn't there at least some uncertainty as to what people thought ...

Re: Christian Genocide

The big problem with obama is he wants to raise and raise taxes. Note: we have already tried to raise taxes on the rich, you know what happens? The rich hide their money and the gov get almost nothing from them so they lower the qualification for rich lower and lower until they are simply taxing th...

Re: Christian Genocide

So what you're saying is that it's not about being rich, but what you do with it.

On a side note, what's wrong with Obama? He fits into your explanation somewhat, but I wouldn't say there is anything he is doing worse than practically any other politician. And as a president, same question...

Re: For theistic evolutionists, question about Eve's creatio

That would be a better answer but yeah im just saying, saying " breaking natural laws" just gives another chance for athiests to ridicule God. God doesn't break anything, nature produces certain effects and God produces greater effects- that i think is the right way to view it. Again, som...

Wow, enough terminology to make your head spin y:O2 . Still, I guess what he's saying is the bacteria is not actually eating arsenic and is harmed by it much more than they say.

I'm no longer sure it's worth Riches' time to do the other chapters. Honestly, the book could be debunked by anyone with a bachelors degree in philosophy.
