Re: Genetics and Homosexuality: Are People Born Gay?

I've wondered sometimes if they are. I've read articles in the news about teenagers who commit suicide because they are gay and want to be straight so badly. That to me is a big red flag and makes me wonder if it is genetically tied in rather than just the choices you make in life.

Re: Questions about the Teleological Argument

Well the argument goes beyond just "you move one of the constants slightly up and you get an entirely new universe with creatures that may or may not evolve and survive...If the constant of helium was raised in any degree at the beginning of time the entire universe would be nothing more than h...

Lets talk about dualism

I haven't posted here on a while, been snooping around not signed in, reading different topics but haven't posted in a while... anyways i'm wondering about dualism...I've thought about it for a while and what are some reasons for it/against it? One of the things i wonder about is if you were in a ca...

Re: I am forced to love God (if he exists)

I guess I can speak for myself :) I consider myself a moral person and as a moral person I prefer not to be rude with other people. I keep in mind that other people have feelings and it's easy to hurt these feelings :) According to my moral point of view, rudeness is amoral. Well i understand that ...

Re: Christopher Hitchens passed away

I thought about it for a while today... I'd say Hitchens is a great great orator. I mean... to get up on stage and to say all he says and it be purely opinion based takes not only a lot of courage but a lot of big words, and you can't forget the British Accent. No, really... I'm going to miss Hitche...

Re: The Epicurean paradox

"God loves you" If so, whence come pain, sorrow and evil? For all who preach here, I give you Epicurus "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is wicked. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he...

Re: Just playing devils advocate for atheism

This isn't Craig's argument, but just to clarify- Even if it was and your devil's advocate argument was proven to be correct, it would only prove that particular argument to be false, it wouldn't prove there is no God. yeah, i think i made a mistake, but either way, i'm not supporting the argument ...

The real way to disprove God.

I saw a youtube post today that said "your wrong, we can disprove God with cosmetology,"-hahaha. I think he meant cosmology, but that really made me laugh. haha.

Just playing devils advocate for atheism

Oh and hey guys, i haven't been here in forever. I read the topics as a guest but haven't had anything to say for a while WLC's argume...

Re: What has a soul?

Your welcome. The best person to listen to is Greg Bahnsen, here he goes into concepts and how the materialist can't make sense of his or her own worldview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5_aS4EGqWk&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL If we can have a topic about "the forms" (as plato pu...

Re: What has a soul?

That's all lovely and such. Doesn't answer me though. I know I exist,if there's a cause and affect of my actions in this world. I am also aware that other things in this world do exist,I can die any moment just as anything else. I feel as if everything is extremely real, and I will not choose to bel...

Re: What's your occupation?

I think i would be interested in something to do with therapy, how hard is it to get in the field? I'm not that concerned with money. I'd be happy with 60k if it was a job that I liked.
