Re: What's your occupation?
Praying is a great start, Spartan! :D I agree; video games are cool and fun, but definitely a time consumer and with all the garbage out there now-a-days, is a potential path to some horrific stuff. I used to play a lot during college but oy, what a waste of time. What about the medical field inter...

What's your occupation?
I've already done 2 years of college, basic classes, i'm still unsure of what i want to do, praying helps me think of what i'm good at and what i'm interested in but i'm unsure of what i should do in the long run, video games are really cool, and video game design seems cool but a childish thing to ...

Re: Inspiration by apologists?
One of my early influences that got me into apologetics was Francis Schaeffer. I enjoyed the logical and very smart stuff by Craig and he's been one of my favorites. I think my favorite right now (I think they're all, or at least most, good, so I'm using the term "favorite" pretty loosely...

Inspiration by apologists?
Are you any of you inspired by apologists? I am inspired by WLC and Bahnsen. Both men are really awesome. It's sad that Bahnsen died but he left behind a wealthy catalog of useful information. Both men have helped restore my faith with God once i was really down.

Re: DNA
Can somebody explain to me who Kent Hovind is? Basically, he makes Ken Ham look like a good man. No, really... part of me despises Kent Hovind. He's a quick talker, ignorant snappy wit, random sources, and has an annoying voice. Spartan, please be careful not to personally attack Mr. Hovind. It's o...

Re: Morality and God
Your being too harsh on echo, domo. Calm down. He's being civil. Anyways, it is objective in the sense that since God knows everything (concretely) what He says is moral is objective and concrete. He knows the way we should live and what is right/wrong. That's way shorter than what everybody else ha...

Re: DNA
I just got a different number, this dude says its 10^119,000 I cannot even comprehend that number, it makes my mind punch itself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yNju1_-CMk Kent Hovind :/ From what I've heard Francis Collins wrote a book about "junk DNA" but nowadays it's being found out t...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
Well it seems that there are other animals such as dogs and dolphins that can also learn sign language, it isn't just koko. Koko just knows a lot more because he was trained a lot more than usual. I just believe that intelligence is a part of evolution and that even us human have evolved in intelli...

Re: How Can We Help?
Haha, yes I saw that there's a YouTube channel which actually saves a lot of work already. Certain members could perhaps sign up to take on a chunk of topics and then send them to the webmaster/YouTube owner (I'm assuming it's Rick?) and he can release them as he pleases? StMonica, This website's f...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
I just read an article on Koko. I found nothing about the IQ test but she knows over 1000 words but they are simple concepts like "lie" is "fake" or "flower" is "stink." From what I read Koko's parents didn't die, another ape she knew parents died.

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
Evolution, as it's happened over 4.1 billion years doesn't seem like God's character. It doesn't seem all knowing to have a plethora of animals walk the earth for a billion years then have a meteor strike France/Mexico driving 99% of all known life forms to extinction. The same goes for man's transi...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
...Pretty weird, constantly thinking about these things. Can't get on track at work sometimes... why is it that an all knowing God would put fossils in the ground that are 90% whale yet have vestigial organs that would make it seem like it's transitioning from one form to another, or already has? I...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
...Everything man, everything. About half of my mind is concerned with the Christian God, the other half is wanting to go back in time... see how creation really happened, the true story, then die and see what the afterlife is like. I know that sounds so weird and so "un Christain," and m...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
From what I remember logic presupposes reason. We humans (homo sapien sapiens) are the only ones to grasp this caliber of reason/logic? Before us were others (Neanderthals/Homo Erectus) less knowledgeable? Did they have logic 0.5? I'm not trying to play games either. If an evolutionist asked me this...
