A few questions, one OEC related
Okay so I have some OEC questions...when they use the word "nephesh," in the Bible and refer it to man/animal, I see on the front page of godandscience.org, it says that it refers to mammals/birds, or animals man can connect with. Is this a baseless assertion or is there evidence in the Bi...

Re: Instillation of the soul through man?
*probably the reason behind why I'm questioning my faith right now is because this seems like a huge blow to Christianity and very weird to me...as each creature became more and more like humans we see today i'm sure his chemicals/response to others became better so nowadays what we call the soul o...

Instillation of the soul through man?
If there's anything that i'm questioning right now it's the instillation of the soul through man...where did God instill the soul in man and why homo sapiens? How about homo erectus, cro magnon, Neanderthal, and Australopithecus? Where these just devoid animals left to die and go nowhere after death...

Re: Can physics and chemistry account for ... ?
All these questions make me ask... Are we just sacks of skin/water walking around a devoid world with nothing for us once we die then? What is "choice?" Talking about animals and intelligence...I read an article on here about a monkey that would grab a box from one side of the room stand o...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
A question I had.... if humans understand logic (homo sapiens) what about cro magnons/Neanderthals and so on? Did they have "logic .9" or something? Not trying to play around at all, seriously wondering....what if it was just an evolutionary thing? No sure where to divide the line between ...

Questions
Has an atheist ever asked you a really hard question and you think about it for a while and it bugs you. In universe where all there is is matter in motion how can i say i'm making free decisions at all? I asked myself that the other day. I guess it's where faith comes into play, from the foundation...

If Christs bones were found (hypothetically of course)
How would you react? My friend asked me this today. If it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt... Of course, I believe He rose to heaven, but still... just a hypothetical. Also, just for fun, did Muhammad rise to heaven within the Islamic faith, if so, if we found the bones of Muhammad, how wou...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
A problem i have, i guess, is with definitions. I can't find a defintion online that says "abstract," means it's immaterial. Although Bahnsen says they are. Same with concepts. Sometimes I see people say "don't you mean concept, not abstract." It hurts my head sometimes to think...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
I like what bahnsen said about "all you have to do is let the unbeliever keep talking and he'll give you the rope to hang himself."--my friend and me were hanging out yesterday. He's an atheist and is a really good friend of mine, anyways, my brother said something stupid and my atheist fr...

Everything is based on faith
For some people being told that is just as simple as anything. I guess some people just believe it, but for me it took me 21 years to actually believe that (I'm 21 right now). A great friend of mine became an atheist about 8 months ago. He was struggling with it for a long time and finally just admi...

Re: Answering atheists responses to laws of logic
That very first red quote that you highlighted was something he said. You may have accidentally put in "Spartan wrote," but it was the other guy. But that's fine. And yeah. Did i do good in what i said against him? This is some tough stuff to get but thanks to you guys i'm getting it :o I...
