Re: Doctrine of Hell
What I am saying is it is not right to pick a verse out and say see this verse says we are always saved when there are mean verse that say different and then to say all the other verses are just spiritual and this one is not. we should have our religion founded on the whole bible not just one or tw...

Re: Eternal Security...
You were fine until you said this: The biggest point that I am trying to get across is that the bible says if you are saved you will not sin, if you are saved you do not sin and if you say you are saved and still sin you are a liar. Yet you admit to sinning still. So I guess...you're not saved then?

Re: Doctrine of Hell
Please explain how my interpretation of John 6:35-51 is out of context. I would love to hear it.
Once you are saved you cannot be unsaved. If you are unsaved, then you were never saved.

Re: Eternal Security...
you have to call Jesus a liar and because he said only thoughs doing the will of the Father were going didn't say any thing about once saved always saved. you use a qualifier he said you had to be doing the will of the Father. John 3:16 was telling you how to get saved not how to stay saved. Don't ...

I can see how you would. IMO Mormonism is in a whole class of its own.Audie wrote: I see comparable wackiness in all of the middle eastern sky god religions.

Re: Was Paul a False Apostle?
Mormons and Moslems aint got nothing on us when it comes to the historicity of their faiths. Islam has very little source material to pull from since in 650 AD in order to combat the different readings, Caliph Uthman had all Koran writings gathered, a definitive reading was chosen, and the rest were...

Re: Eternal Security...
You guys are wrong. You know the difference because you pray and ask God if they're saved. If you feel a burning in your bosom and haven't recently eaten Mexican food, then you know that they are saved.

Re: Signs and wonders and specific prayer
The Word of Faith movement is despicable. Most of the time they don't even need to ask God for anything, they just think they can speak things into existence as if they themselves are little gods. In fact, the "little gods" doctrine is a center part of their theology. They very rarely refe...

Re: Rob Bell church moments away from embracing gay marriage
God can use anything. Even heresy. Bell has a very low view of scripture. He uses Matthew 18:18 to show that we are allowed to reinterpret scripture to however we like and Heaven will change to match to our new rendering. Of course, that makes one with a high view of scripture and an understanding o...

Rob Bell is one of the "Emergent" church crowd. See Elliott Nesch's film "The Real Roots of the Emergent Church" for plenty of information on this man and other emergent leaders like Brian Mclaren.

Audie, Oh, and the viper in Malta.... http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20140219/opinion/Which-viper-bit-St-Paul-in-Malta-.507396 Maybe? Re: salvation and works
Actually he did. He believe in Jesus and from the time he believe until he die the bible dose not record him committing any more sin. Maybe I'm starting a big circle again here, but I just really wouldn't phrase it that way. It sounds like you're saying if the thief had done another sin while on th...

Re: Was Paul a False Apostle?
Audie, Who do you say Jesus Christ is? make that a was. Why dont you ask the 38000 sects about that? You no doubt understand the implied fallacy here. In any case, I doubt there are 3800 different interpretations as to who Jesus is , and even if there were it doesn't relieve the responsibility of r...
