Re: The Nature of God - Omnipresence

I haven't had a chance to look into this yet, so does anyone know why JWs argue against God's omnipresence? I imagine for the same reason they believe Michael and Jesus to be the same person... Anyways, from what I understand they believe that since God is described as having a location (His throne...

Re: New Stephen Hawking big bang article

I think that his comment about God is at least somewhat revealing - he is issuing a back-handed, sarcastic insult, both to God and to those who believe in Him. But why would he feel the need to insult and mock a God he says he doesn't believe exists? Ever hear of anyone mocking Zeus? Obsessed with ...

Re: Does the universe have a purpose

I feel like if someone is truly an athiest, that they would be a heartless, selfish person. I mean if there's no God and life is temporary why not just please yourself, without caring about other people? I mean they believe they are going to die and nothing will happen, some atheists claim they wish...

Re: Science and morals

You cannot have absolute moral values, with science alone. In order to have perfect morality you need someone/thing with perfect moral values. If there was nothing perfect to set forth moral values then you could not logically deduce what perfect morality is. You cannot use the scientific method to ...

Re: Believe Out Loud: Gay/lesbian christian community

This is where I see this is going wrong. I have no trouble with them being Homo sexual, what I have trouble is when that homosexuality is not considered wrong or sinful and still they are called Christians. What do you guys think? If I formed a group and added my own sinful acts to the "righte...

Re: Believe Out Loud: Gay/lesbian christian community

I'm fine with gay people wanting to worship Christ but I have a problem when they tell try to say that what their doing isn't a sin, and I feel like that's what this group is trying to do.

Re: New Shroud of Turin discovery only a few days ago!

Not to put a dapper on the situation but the Shroud of Turin is most likely fake. They carbon twice both came out to around the 1470's. I'd ike to believe it's the Lord's burial cloth but the evidence is stacked against it. I personally believe it was made by Da Vinci using an early form of photogra...

Re: the absence of God?

It's really an impossible feat to understand why God would allow certain bad things to happen. There is no way we could possibly understand his reasoning we just have to accept that it happened and happened for a reason and move on.
