Service
God is all-powerful, all-knowing. Perfect. Therefore, he doesn't really need anything we have to offer him. We could never really offer him something that he doesn't already have. Therefore, why must we "serve" God?

Re: AnswersinGenesis
Phew, I guess I got the wrong impression of the site from the discussions a few weeks ago. Glad to see the majority isn't fundamentalist YEC's. I am curious, why do YEC's believe the things they do? I have looked through the Bible and can't seem to find anything that points to <10,000 year old eart...

And I totally understand if you don't feel the need to watch the whole thing. It's pretty long.

Kinda going along with this, I recently stumbled upon this video. I was curious to see what history buffs, or anyone else, has to say about it.

Re: Another Doubting Christian
I do have one thing to say: I've never understood why sharing DNA would mean we had to evolve. If we all have a common creator, God, then it would make sense for us to have at least SOME traits in common.

True, true. But if He knows everything, then it follows that He knows who and who won't be in hell already. Not to say He's forcing them to be there, but He certainly knows what people will choose.

Re: Check this anti-abortion site out.
I guess that poses the question on whether this earth was ever meant to be our perfect and true home. And I would be lying if I said I knew for sure exactly what God knows and thinks about. We all would. I guess I just never thought he would need to think about what could have happened if he knows w...

Bav, thinking of future events doesn't entail knowing anything. It's pure speculation based upon events that we have experienced. Also, once a sperm and egg unite, this is when personhood commences. At least in my view. Would you consider an egg and a sperm two separate individuals? I wouldn't: the...

Re: Check this anti-abortion site out.
What about those cases of pregnancy that did involve protected sex, i.e. use of the pill and/or a condom, that resulted in a pregnancy for some fluke reason? If God knew us before we were born (and I believe He does), is not protected sex "murder" of that which would've resulted in concep...

Downloading Music
I know this has been a topic of discussion before, but I would still like to discuss it in terms of me personally and get some other questions answered. I have never been one to get my music solely from illegal venues; most of the stuff I have on my iPod, I have bought myself. But there is a lot on ...

Re: The Difference Between Having Morals and Holy Spirit
@Jestes- thanks for that insight. It helps me understand it way better.
And @Paul, what exactly comes after morals? I was thinking about your response earlier today and I was wondering, if morals are the start for us, what comes after?
