How would you answer this question from a Muslim?

There is an unsolved problem of the Trinity; if Jesus died on the cross, was Jesus-the man or Jesus-the-God that died on the cross? If Jesus-the-man died, then Jesus-the-man could not save others, since "every man is to die for HIS OWN sin" according to God in 2 Kings 14:6. If, on the othe...

Re: Joker Movie

I watched the recent Joker movie yesterday. Just wondering who's watched it? Like or hate it? I'd probably give it a 7.5 out of 10 overall. I thought Joaquin Phoenix did a great job as Joker. I was confused by the letter Joker's mother gave him which came in the mail. Who wrote it; what did it say?

Re: Universalism

Is there any biblical support for Universalism? Thank you. No! Actually, quite the opposite. And if universalism were true, the sacrifice of Christ wouldn't be urgent or necessary - not if everyone is saved. Guess Hitler and the other tyrants of history just loved that doctrine! Universalism

"Universalism is the teaching that all people will be saved. Some say that it is through the atonement of Jesus that all will ultimately be reconciled to God. Others just say that all will go to heaven sooner or later, whether or not they have trusted in or rejected Jesus as savior during their...

Re: No one is righteous?

Thank you for the comments. We may never know what Paul had in his mind when he said: Romans 3:10: as it written , There is no one righteous, not even one. Most scholars think Paul referenced Psalm 14: "There is no one who does good, not even one." But Psalm 14 doesn't say there is no one ...

No one is righteous?

Romans 3:10: There is no one righteous, not even one.

Luke 1:6: And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Is this a contradiction?

Thanks.

Re: Romans 3:4

I don’t understand how your friend came to the conclusion that a man may overrule God’s judgement. Romans 3 contains verses from various prophets that are put together to show that man is estranged from God and evil from birth. Verse 31 is a good answer to those who say that a Christ is free to com...

Romans 3:4

3.So what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? 2 Considerable in every way. First, they were entrusted with the spoken words of God. 3 What then? If some did not believe, will their unbelief cancel God’s faithfulness? 4 Absolutely not! God must be true, even if everyo...

Christian2: Peter was sent to a Gentile named Cornelius. Acts 10. However before Acts 10, in Acts 9 Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles. Why do you think Jesus didn't send Paul to Cornelius instead of Peter? Or why didn't Jesus make Peter the Apostle to the Gentiles? Thanks. Because He wanted to send P...

Paul vs Peter, Apostle to the Gentiles

Peter was sent to a Gentile named Cornelius. Acts 10.

However before Acts 10, in Acts 9 Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles.

Why do you think Jesus didn't send Paul to Cornelius instead of Peter?

Or why didn't Jesus make Peter the Apostle to the Gentiles?

Thanks.

Who sends the Counselor/Comforter/Advocate?

John 14: 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. John 16: 7 Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send Him to you . Is this a...

The Kingdom of God and the death of Jesus

Jesus spoke often about the Kingdom of God.

Does Jesus' death and resurrection have anything to do with one's entrance into the Kingdom of God?

Thanks.
