Re: Molinism discussion
Bart and Glen, please continue… This does pertain to Molinism as a philosophical discipline and as such branches out into other venues to look further into and once into, back again. The venue here is still a UR form of determinism. There are different types of Universalism. Christian Universalist ...

Re: Molinism discussion
"Canuckster1127"]Thanks Glen. I don't believe I made any comments with regard to UR being a Johnny come lately. There certainly are forms of universalism that date back to Origen, but I think you'd find that the underlying premises related to those forms of Universalism are quite a bit di...

Re: Molinism discussion
Hi Glen, I appreciate your answer and I understand what you're saying. Of course there are some key differences between Calvinism and UR. That's by definition. Calvinism sees God choosing selectively, the "elect." Where UR sees God as choosing all, in a form of universal atonement, vs. Li...

Re: Molinism discussion
Both good points BW and Glen. I agree that logic fails to fully rectify or explain everything that is at work here. I'm also not stating that Molinism can't provide some insight in reconciling Calvinism with Free Will. The view I mentioned and find within Ware is not the whole of Calvinism and Glen...

Re: Worried...
Peter didn't have the gift of the spirit at that time, the spirit came upon the twelve but it wasn't indwelling them yet untill after Jesus left. Ez 36:27 shows the same type of gift when God gathers them to establish their covenant. Peters will and faith failed him, a lesson we all should ponder in...

Re: Molinism discussion
...(I don't know that Molinism really accomplishes anything in the context of maintaining the primary premises of Calvinism because it assumes some level of free agency that Calvinism in it's High or Traditional form just doesn't allow for, no matter how creative the explanations become. It makes G...

We are responsible for sin because we are sinners, but we are not responsible for being one.

Re: Molinism discussion
Thank you Glen for taking the time to clarify! I misunderstood the tone of your post as being hard core deterministic and responded in that manner, my apologies. So to avoid missunderstanding again let me inquire if you are from an Arminian, Lutheran, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant, Jewish, or Univer...

Re: Molinism discussion
Hi Glen, I appreciate your post and from your comments, I take it to mean that you are from the Hard Calvinist Determinist position of complete and utter fatalism by your comment, “ Sit back and enjoy the ride .” Therefore, your stance is that human beings have no choice as the ancient Greek philos...

Re: Molinism discussion
Does anyone think we had a choice in being born into adams transgression? Can non-coercion even be allowed in the mixture of Gods will, or his purpose in the creation and its fall? is there a middle ground between Ephesians 2:2-3, Romans 5:21, we are stuck in one or the other until God draws us and ...

Re: The Final Judgement
So I've been thinking....is it possible that after our first judgement is over ( right after death ) that when the Final judgement comes........everyone is brought before God Almighty, and the people from Hell have an opportunity to accept Jesus?? Otherwise, why would the Final Judgement be necessa...

Re: Matthew 24:34
What is this verse referring to ? y:-? "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Hi Illegal6. I would see it more along the lines of being condistional, presented in the subjuntive mood (contingent or possible outcome) which brings up ano...
