Re: Thoughts on Heaven and Hell
I find it interesting you spelled Gods in plural. I expect this was a typo as we are all prone to make from time to time and meant to spell God's instead of Gods. Yep I meant God's. With UR - there is no theological basis for one to even receive God's gift of Grace and faith thru Jesus Christ so on...

Any that don't bow to Romans 11:33-35, or teach against "His Will, and Desire for all men" 1Tim 2:3-6, or His Sovereignty as potter over all the clay Romans 9:20-21, but also inlight of a future restoration of the vessels of dishonor Romans 11:25-32, which points back to His will and Desi...

Re: Thoughts on Heaven and Hell
It is easy to construe bible verses together in a systematic scholastic fashion that ignores context and continuity of scriptures. Bible interprets bible. The verses you used, Glen, do not jive with what Jesus said in John 3:16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 36 or Matthew 25:41, 46, or Revelation 20:11, 12, ...

Re: Thoughts on Heaven and Hell
Theologies god isn't fair agree. What do you mean when you say this? (Theology = Study of Who God Is) Mans theologies have made Luke 1:37 an impossiblity. Do you mean to say that you: 1. Think any theology is bad. 2. Think a particular theology is bad. Any that don't bow to Romans 11:33-35, or teac...

Re: Thoughts on Heaven and Hell
Questions: 1. Define good. Be specific. 2. Why do you feel that Hell will be equal for all condemned to it? Does anyone else ever feel like it make this lifetime appear a less meaningful? Depends. Self centered pursuits should seem less meaningful to the believer. (Read Ecclesiastes) However, Chris...

Re: Catholics and salvation
So your saying the initation process is a misconception on my part? No sir, what I am saying is that your misconception lies in the fact that you think this is a work. So what happens if they don't meet the standerds? The process has the same ring to it as Peters remarks in Acts 10:35 KJV, this sta...

. Just the works to reach a state of being worthy to be water baptized is a long process is it not? The sinner Just can't hear the gospel and be saved in the Catholic religion. I guess Luther is being de-fanged by this new improved version of grace alone theory. I honestly don't know what that mean...

Re: Catholics and salvation
I was away for a while and just got back yesterday. I doubt I will have time this week to address this and other issues as I will be swamped at work trying to catch up. I will say this as a quick summary, there might be varying beliefs among Catholics but the official Catholic Church's position is ...

Re: About God's love
Thanks for your comments, B.W. I look at it like a parent who loves his children unconditionally. We may expect them to obey and are upset when they don't, but we never stop loving them. Agree, Gods love is beyond mans intellectual standerds or mans inability to forgive all who transgress against h...

Re: Molinism discussion
Hi BW. I am not sure I understand how self righteousness could be applied to a UR position, I believe I am without merit, My positional stance is because of Christ’s obedience, faithfulness, sacrifice and his gracious free gift, Though I still have self righteous residue from being yoked to this co...
