Re: Life problems, personal problems, and social concerns.

I will pray for your strengthening in this, Flawed. Just remember, you're not alone. I'm 100% sure there are people who understand, and I'm also 100% sure that God will be able to help you out.

Godly Relationship

Hey everyone! I know I'm not a very active member here, but I'm sure that won't really affect the fact that you guys will probably pray for me  To start off, I'm just a teenager :P But even though I'm young, what I strive for in any relationship I have with women (I'm male) is to let it be ...

Leaps of Faith

So, I've been having conversations with an agnostic who says that he won't take any leaps of faith towards a religious explanation of anything in the universe because he says it isn't proven in any way. Specifically, when I present arguments such as irreducible complexity in the universe, the resurr...

Re: Another Doubting Christian

In addition, I'd like to say that the likelihood of abiogenesis (life never starting) is completely overwhelming. If evolution is true, it's still WAY more likely that God caused it than some naturalistic process.

Re: Delusion?

I couldn't agree more with cheezerrox. Face all of your doubts head on: don't ignore them, because they can come back and hit you all at once. That creates a situation where it can be REALLY detrimental to your faith. We can't know for certain; however, neither can the opposing side. Here's what I s...

Is God Fair in Giving such a Harsh Law?

Why did God give a law that we absolutely cannot live up to? I'm an honest Christian seeker who wants to know.

There's always the possibility that we're just imposing our views on fair and unfair on God. But also, if any of you have better explanations, I would much appreciate it. Thanks :D

Re: I have story to tell...

There are two ways to God: 1) Righteously fulfilling the Law and all its requirements, or 2) by God's grace through faith in Christ True the Law is still around, and if any one person were able to fulfill it 100% they would earn their salvation. However, to those who have broken one tittle (which w...

Re: Baptism and Salvation

As far as domokunrox's belief being inside orthodox Christianity, I have to agree with domokunrox himself. I think it's inside, because this really is a highly-debated topic.

Baptism and Salvation

So, I haven't really gotten any input from other people on this, nor am I very knowledgeable about it, so I figured that this would be the best place to ask my question. My question is this: What is the role of water baptism for the Christian? Is it something necessary for salvation, or is it just b...

Re: Good argument against Deism?

Why do we have the spiritual capacity we have ... if not to grow in knowledge and relationship to the Creator who made it all occur (?) Atheism or Deism can never adequeately answer these questions , and in fact, both carry the same underlying excuse : (that) God isnt desired in Ones life . I agree...

Re: Good argument against Deism?

God wants nothing. If He did He wouldn't be God. Not true. God needs nothing. We would not exist if God had not acted on the desire to create us. Because God is 100% autonomous, incapable of needing anything, He didn't need to create humans at all. But somehow we're still here :P But I'm probably j...
