Re: What are your denominations? and a question I have...
I do not belong to any denomination. I am lonely traveller. Still learner. I do hope you attend a local church regularly though, since its Gods desire for you to worship in a coporate atmosphere of fellow Believers, to grow in your faith and knowledge of God with others, to serve others, for you to...

Re: What are your denominations? and a question I have...
I go to every denomination I can. I like to see and hear how different people believe and practice. I am not one that bashes another for "boasting" sake. The "holier than thou" thing is complete trash (as I see it) I also do not like the "believe the way I do or your going ...

Re: Is GOD making it impossible for some to believe?? =,<
But atheism is a position. I don't really like the whole semantic debate over the definition of atheism, its mostly just an unhelpful distraction imo... but here's how I see it. Whether or not God exists, its a "yes", "no", or "I don't know" question. You can say "...

Re: Is GOD making it impossible for some to believe?? =,<
I'd love to know. For me, I can't even conceive of the possible evidence that would convert me to theism without flat-out mind control. I'd always have some measure of doubt. Its really quiet easy Beany....WHen you were approx. 4-7 years old, you went to your Parents and because you noticed the Cre...

Re: Is GOD making it impossible for some to believe?? =,<
I'm concerned about something. Does GOD make it impossible for some people to believe? I read something about Jesus speaking in parables So that some could not understand? And something about GOD hardening people's hearts? Why? I don't understand and I'm concerned. =,< God has made it EASY to know ...

Re: Speaking in tongues.
Dave. I suppose you read that out of a translation that relies on the 'older' manuscripts. It is nothing short of a fallacy to assume that age alone insures accuracy. But even if we put those verses on the shelf we can distinquish the difference between Jesus baptizing with the HS and the HS baptiz...

Re: Why Didn't God Just Not Create Us?
Thank you for all of the answers, guys! I think I have a pretty good understanding now, but this leads me into another question... Why doesn't God just show Himself to everyone. I mean, technically He did that with Jesus, but that was about 2000 years ago and many people now deny the historicity an...

Re: Why Didn't God Just Not Create Us?
Note: I am sorry for posting so many threads and making it seem like I'm abandoning them. I am not an Atheist, but merely a Christian who has finally found a forum that has the philosophical and scientific intelligence to answer them. I am also quite busy, so although I read your posts in my thread...

Re: Speaking in tongues.
The scriptures tell us over and over that if you believe that jesus is lord and that through his death and resurrection that you are saved, then you will be baptised with holy spirit/you will recieve the gift of holy spirit. That's what salvation is. I know that every true believer in that congrega...

Re: Speaking in tongues.
The last church I attended was an Assembly of God church here in Illinois. tounges weren't outwardly a big issue and i rarely ever heard anyone doing this. when i did, it was usually a series of repeated sylables like " lalalala, dededede tatatata etetet" or someone trying to say somethin...

Re: Christianity and secular music
I used to like the Doors and grew up on their songs. Since i became a devoted Follower of Christ , I came to understand the reality of their music and Keith Morrison their Leader ... so I have no place for their music or influence in my life anymore. Now i see them as one of many Bands that were le...
