Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
When I refer to scientific community, I refer to the scientific community as whole. Just as you can find a few scientists who don't accept HIV as the cause of AIDs, you can also find a couple who don't accept the theory of evolution. The DI put together a lovely list of such scientists. The scienti...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
Have done so but it will take them time to do their part and until they can implement it I will do my part to spread the understanding which so far has not been touched on by any appreciable debate. If that is any indicator I would think you should be worried about the future of your beliefs. As a ...

//www.shroud.it/ROGERS-3.PDF this is peer reviewed in the chemical journal of thermochimica acta. I linked to that same article in my previous post. http://discussions.godandscience.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=37774 It's about some things I've been researching during the past few months and has now compelled me to share and discuss it with you all. Sorry... But this talk about the Illuminati is all bunk. It is nothing more than of an attempt t...

Re: Shroud of Turin
You would know that scientific peer review has overturned the dates and then some. Citation? As far as I've seen, that's not the case. I think with this sort of artefact the carbon dating could easily be inaccurate due to being handled, possible smoke contamination from a fire and other environment...

You mentioned you had students earlier. May I ask what is your profession? It sounds like you hold a position in academia, is that correct? Mechanical engineer / Bioengineer. I taught Mechanical engineering for a period of time then went back to school for bioengineering. So you are obviously invol...

If they are taught together, SO WHAT!? The origin of life is taught as purely hypothetical (I have given you a quote from the text book before, stating just that). There are experiments showing it's possible, but we don't know exactly how and I never claimed otherwise. What does this have to do wit...

Lots of things bother me about this. How does she have memories about it if it was something nonphysical and separate from her body? Also, this is nothing new to near-death experiences, and if these were proof of anything, they'd be proof for every religion. Another thing that happens at death and ...

Not sure. Based on the evidence, probably not. What evidence??? You have no evidence.. Remember? Just a belief. Those are your own words.. Heh, you quoted me before I could get my edit in there. Yes, lack of evidence is the reason I don't see ID as being a likely hypothesis. If you have evidence th...

I'm just talking paternity testing. Yes or no. So am I... Yes or no to a common designer. Answer the question. Not sure. Based on the lack of evidence, probably not. So, you accept paternity testing as a legitimate scientific method to determine relatedness. What is it about using the exact same pr...
