Re: Tornado in a Junkyard
I will look into it. I am interested in the facts. I have my beliefs but i like them to be backed by facts. I have gone round and round till my head spun trying to figure out if what one site said was factual or not because then I would find another site with evidence that so called disproves what ...

I understand your concern. Obviously I'm not a theist. The author is a cell biologist and is also a roman catholic. You could always google a summary and see if it interests you. Just throwing it out there. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Re: Tornado in a Junkyard
Like sea creatures becoming land animals and such. If that were true then we would see it today. Just curious, how would you expect us to see it today? Evolution would not expect you to be able to go to a pond and witness creatures evolving before your eyes from fish into frogs. So I'm curious as t...

P.S. For those interested in reproducing clouds in the lab (it was a mystery for a while):

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
We can't reproduce clouds in the lab... What lol........... ever been to science works in Canberra Australia. Guess we should forget about evaporation then huh? I mean, "Macro-evaporation" hasn't been observed. I think we can all agree "Micro-evaporation" is a fact. We can see w...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
As I argued with someone on Facebook (whom I know) who thought we were "burying our heads in the dirt" by objecting to evolution in schools, I replied with this: If questioning theories is burying our heads in the dirt, we would have gotten nowhere scientifically or philosophically. That ...

Re: YouTube...
Er, no it's not. One side has a rational argument for creation (of anything) that does not violate the law of non-contradiction, and the other one ... well, doesn't. No offense Byblos, but at present times I don't think that anyone can offer a rational argument for creation. We only have assumption...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
Actually it cannot yet be tested for. If a multitude of life forms were created that function based on the same materials and tool sets for their formational organization then there is no method whereby one could empirically prove or disprove it as historical truth since like things react the same ...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
Gman... You clearly can't differentiate whether we are talking about abiogenesis or evolution, you constantly confuse what is meant by a hypothesis and theory, you refuse to answer any of my questions and have yet to provide any evidence or anything meaningful to the discussion. I think we can agree...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
I'm glad to see that you are learning... If we allow these words into our science then that should allow other doors to open to our understanding how our science is conducted and not be too dogmatic on how it is approached. We need to be professional about it. Yep, I guess I just have to keep rephr...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
Excellent post, now we're getting somewhere. First off, thanks for taking the time to respond to such a lengthy post, but before we go any further, I need to ask a couple quick questions. Actually it cannot yet be tested for. If a multitude of life forms were created that function based on the same ...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
I'm not filling anything in with my "philosophy." I'm still trying to figure out how saying "I don't know" is filling in a gap... Again you go back to the origin of life. Evolution says NOTHING about abiogenesis/origin of life research. They are two completely different fields. ...

I am happy to stay here and have a dialogue if you're all happy to discuss as well. It's definitely beneficial for all of us. Agreed. I've learned a lot from the discussions I've had with the people here. It has forced me to look into some things I've never given much though (naturalism and free wi...

Re: Evolution and Intelligent Design
I'll call it what it is. It's not a theory because it's not an explanation supported by facts, it's not chicken noodle soup because that's ridiculous. I never said it was a fact, or that I accept any of the hypotheses as fact. Nothing is taken on faith or miracles. I simply state "I don't know...
