Need some ideas!
Hey all, It's been awhile since I've posted on here, and this might could go under another topic, but since it's light hearted and the like, I'll ask here. My youngest son, who is 13, will be doing the "Polar Plunge" (where they jump in the frozen lake) for the 3rd year in a row. It's a fu...

Re: Am I doing right?
I don't think you should avoid living. I think as long as you are doing the best you can, following Gods word, you are doing okay. We are not perfect, and I don't think there is anyway to be perfect. You can expect mistakes. That being said, as long as you are not searching out trouble, and when mis...

Re: Am I doing right?
Ryan, I don't think there has to be such a huge divide there. Who is there to say that you can't go out and do things and have fun? And, also, as an adult, trust me you don't have to go out drinking or doing those things that you know are not right in order to have fun. You mentioned that you don't ...

Re: Another thought/question
I wasn't meaning blacks as in a group that Christians are against. I meant as a group that, along with the other groups, have the right to state their beliefs and views and no one says any thing against them, but a Christian or a Christian organization says something to speak up about their beliefs ...

Another thought/question
I've been reading more about the whole Chik-fil-a "scandal" and it has me thinking more and more. y:-? This thought popped into my head. You have all of these people, gay and straight alike, that support gays and homosexuals that use the excuse that God doesn't make mistakes and He made me...

Re: How relevant do you think the Old Testament of the Bible
When I say O.T. I mean the whole thing, not just the law. That's what I'm thinking anyway. One of the articles I was reading, the person said basically that the whole OT might as well be thrown out because it has no place in the "modern" world. I don't think that is right at all. I think s...

How relevant do you think the Old Testament of the Bible is?
I've been reading and hearing a lot about people and some groups saying that the Old Testament of the Bible is completely irrelevant in this day and age. I guess many people are trying to say that everything in the OT was set aside when Jesus preached, that He completely did away with any of the law...

Re: Arguments against Evolution
I'm looking for things that could be used in a "discussion". This hasn't come up lately, but like for teenagers, when my sons friends are discussing stuff, mostly for the non-Christian, asking questions. I, personally, could be put under the "theistic evolution" banner, since I d...

Arguments against Evolution
First off, I want to apologize if this is a repeat topic. I tried doing a search for what I was wanting to ask, but ended up more confused that when I began  Anyway, I am looking for arguments against evolution, made in "layman's" terms, something easy to understand. One thing that go...

Re: Why no more miracles?
I'm sorry you feel that way Magsolo. I still will believe till my dying day that it was a miracle, and by the way,If you look back at the last couple of sentences of my original post, the doctors at the childrens hospital did have the original xrays, but they rushed him into surgery so quick and did...

Re: Why no more miracles?
And, as far as that goes, a miracle doesn't have to be something life altering. I think just waking up everyday, to a new and glorious day that God has given us, is a miracle in its self.

Re: Why no more miracles?
I know there are still miracles today. Maybe it's just because we don't "open" our eyes and mind in order to see them. Maybe it's because there are so many other people in the world, I don't know. But, I know do know without a doubt they are still happening, because I experienced one mysel...

Re: Bob Savage and the Anti-Christian world
I feel, in the long run, the Christian heterosexual couple is going to become the minority. Can we then cry discrimination? Why, as a Christian, should I be afraid to voice my beliefs when I am having their beliefs thrown in my face every time I turn around? I think it's pretty sad, what this world ...

Re: Bob Savage and the Anti-Christian world
I agree that they are trying to twist stuff around and make all Christians "haters". It's like-"if you don't conform, you must hate them". Like you said about "progressing" with society. I'm sorry, the way society is today, I don't want to "progress" with it. ...
