Re: Resistant people... an Internet phenomenon! ;)

You shouldn't debate with people who are a waste of time like that on the internet. I would only debate with somebody on the internet if they come directly to this forum or if they are very persistant in attacking me. However, I would debate more often in real life if I had more opportunities, but t...

Re: Christian Fiction

Now for some stuff about your book idea. First off, I have never (obviously) seen any of your literary work and can't, therefore, give targeted suggestions. That said, the project, as you laid it out, sounds very ambitious. It sounds as though your book is intended to have a wide scope, complicated...

Re: Christian Fiction

I think I'm going to make a seperate thread regarding the book I plan to write. Also, should I make hell similar to the Dantean model, with the Nine Circles, or make up my own model?

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm taking him off.

Re: Christian Fiction

If you want my honest opinion, as a fellow writer, I would say if you want to write something, go ahead and write it! It doesn't have to be marketable or anything to be worth writing. Though if I were to make a suggestion, including real historical figures may be a bad idea. Especially when you inv...

Re: Christian Fiction

Recently, I decided to write a Christian novel for Young Adults and I was wondering what you guys thought about it. The story is basically about a group of teenagers (target audience) who are charged with a mission to destory a Satanic influence in Seattle (the city where it is set) with the help of...

Re: I found myself laughing...

I was just randomly searching for "Evidence of God" and that website was the second thing that popped up. (This is the first one.) It also had this little gem: There is no scientific evidence of God. If there was, then every fundamentalist in the world would be clinging onto it. That's all...

Re: I want to start my own apologetics website. Thoughts?

What I would do, also, is perhaps put a quote from a major atheist/other skeptic on the very issue, then at the end have a quote supporting Christianity.

Re: More people believe in aliens then God?

Then again, it's on Yahoo, so they probably researched it using a survey on Yahoo. Just look at Yahoo answers. Those places are crawling with atheists.

Re: Experience with Atheist forums

I used to argue with Atheists on Youtube quite often but stopped. Ultimately nobody's mind is going to be changed and it just leaves a bad feeling in the stomach. It is especially bad on an Atheist forum where it becomes a 20 vs 1 arguement and it starts to feel like trying to eat your way through ...

Re: Movies

Thanks for the replies! Do you think movies like Harry Potter are ok? I understand that there's magic in it, but does that ruin the entire movie? I don't think that magic in a movie is a very big deal. Harry Potter, at least I thought, was less of the occult and more towards Christianity. In the bo...

Re: Inspiration by apologists?

I don't know a lot of them, but my two favorite apologists are Dinesh D'Souza and Nicky Gumbell. Dinesh is simply amazing at taking down the arguments of the New Atheists, as he did in What's So Great About Christianity . Nicky Gumbell answers some of the toughest questions raised against Christiani...

Re: Atheists are hard to convert

As I said numerous times, most of their arguments are simply illogical insults that they spew towards people instead of a serious discussion . It's a good thing that you noticed that at the age of 15 (if I remembered your age correctly). Once you see through the smokescreen of insults and mockery, ...

Re: Atheists are hard to convert

I've never had a real-life apologetics with atheists, but I've had some over the internet. Wow. Every single atheist in the world must be on YouTube constantly, flaming every single video that even slightly has religious content in it or posting videos spreading their beliefs. By the way, those vide...

Re: U.S. Atheists Reportedly Using Hair Dryers to 'De-Baptiz

You're not addressing what I actually said, which is why do they hate God? Let's say there were believers in Zeus who went around passing pro-Zeus legislation ... is Zeus the guy you'd get mad at? You made me laugh with " pro-Zeus legislation "... What would that include? :D " ...
