Re: Well... never heard that one before...
What I found most interesting was how he assumed "property law" on Lev 20:13. Wasn't it a moral law?

Well... never heard that one before...
Gotta admit, that interpretation is pretty original... hah. So, what exactly led him to believe the Bible teaches women are the "property" of men?

Re: Shame on Al Gore
No...there must be something else. Your reaction is way overboard, far in excess of what would be a reasonable rebuttal to my OP. You seem very emotional. Posting when angry is never a good idea. How about telling us why you think it is good for Al-jazeera to be the new owner of CurrentTV? I have n...

Facebook atheists are at it again!
I've seen this a couple times in the last week:
Has anybody some information that might correct some of the claims made here?

Re: Shame on Al Gore
What is it about this subject that angers you so much? I'm just peeved. What PEEVES me right now is your blatant one-sidedness. I guess you think I'm angry because I don't agree with you, again. Good perception skills. Al-Jazeera is nothing more than a feeble attempt to get people to try think that...

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/3524/al-jazeera-qatar For those that don't want to read the article, a summary: Al-Jazeera is biased , and being "Anti-West" means you're a terrorist. And not a source was cited that day. Doesn't surprise me the Gatestone Institute is a self-proclaimed pr...

Re: Shame on Al Gore
Now... if anybody has anything intelligent to say about an Islamist network geting a foothold in US media, go for it. Otherwise, forever hold your peace. I don't see what you're saying as hate speech. Only unfounded, which is it... very. You provided absolutely no basis for your alarmist nonsense, ...

Re: Shame on Al Gore
A bizarre question. Did you think it through before posting? Your word ''blindly'', above, seems to be there only to disparage the pro-American/West/Israel viewpoint. Do you really think most people who are pro-American/West/Israel are unthinking? A lot of the media is pro-America, as in, agreeing ...

Re: Shame on Al Gore
How is ant-American, anti-west, and anti-Israel any worse than being blindy pro-American, pro-west, and pro-Israel? I've viewed Al-Jazeera as a more reliable source, but its often hated by most Westerners, which I attribute to its perspective being so contradictory to what views they usually hold. S...

That sounds more sexist than... sexism.Furstentum Liechtenstein wrote:She then went on to say that monotheistic faiths (Islam/Judaism/Christianity) were abhorrent to her but that polytheistic faiths were OK because they even had female deities.

Re: Jesus was a Zoroastrian?
Some buddy of mine sent it to me and didn't know what to make of it, lol. Most of what I did take the time to read seemed like a bit of a stretch (by that I mean about as implausible as a cloud made of bubble gum).

Re: Advocating Atheism
Most smart atheists I know hate "the new atheism" as much as any smart Christian would. But, as Screwtape puts it... "Don't waste time trying to make him think that materialism is true! Make him think it is strong or stark or courageous - that it is the philosophy of the future. That'...
