The information you have given is of a great help. However I am curious and wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to where it says in the Bible about praising God for fifteen things. It is probably very obvious that I dont know my Bible very well. Also could someone please tell ...

Charlie, One thing that my pastor told me, which is helping me with exactly the same issues. (and ONLY helping me, I'm not completely there) IS to read the Bible every morning. And do not just read, but study. 1 verse 10 times may be better than 10 verses 1 time. And then pray. You may have heard th...

thanks you guys for the replies, appreciate them. meforevidence shows a great deal of information on this, but going back to the beginning of the argument, fallen angels were demons, correct? If that is true, than it should be true that they are asexual, like when they were angels in Heaven, Matthe...

From 6:2 SATAN knew that the REDEEMER of mankind must be a member of the human race (See - Gen 3:15) therefore SATAN set about to corrupt all flesh upon the earth by the union of the sons of God with the daughters of men. Both the early church fathers (e.g., Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Athenagoras, Pse...

It is important to remember the contrasts here. How can God call for obedience when there is not the possibility for disobedience? How can He command humans to love Him, when there is not the possibility of hate? That is the way God made us, that we can choose to accept His grace or not. That was t...

Vash, If you recall the parable of the sower. Some of the seed was sewn on stony ground. These are people whose hearts have been hardened and not willing to even listen. Its like when you try to share the Gospel with them, although they agreed to listen, they act like you are wasting their time. The...

Don I am curious how you answer PL's question about the other verses he mentioned. Specifically: 6.) The same is true in Isaiah 40:3 (see Matthew 3:3) Especially when you consider the Hebrew word for Lord in Isaiah 40:3 is Yehovah. And it is pretty obvious that in Matthew 3 that John the Baptist is ...

There are four words in the Bible that are translated “hell:” 1) Sheol (used only in the O.T.) The doctrine of hell is made clear in the O.T. by the two-fold use of the word “sheol.” Sheol can be biblically defined as: * The “grave” in which the unseen state of the dead (See - Eccl 9:10) both bad...

Re: It is complicated
Nonetheless it is not the sense as YLTYLT said, to entrust the Lord with everything and we do virtually nothing waiting for food and clothes coming.
I am sorry I did not mean it in that sense. I meant it in the sense of always listening for God and taking God's word o...

It seems to me that trust is something to be earned. Your knowledge of a person's history is going to affect how much you trust them. It should not determine on whether you forgive them though. You can forgive someone but it does not necessarily mean you trust them. I do not trust anyone I do not kn...

I've been having doubts about why the name and belief in Jesus will save one from the punishment of his sins. Of course, it's rooted in logic to suppose that without such a thing we would all fall short of the mark of perfection. If a man lived each of his days and killed a person each day for his ...
