PL you repeated state "It's one or the other B.W. It cannot be both." I think to say that is putting limits on the Power of God. Jesus was Both 100% man and 100% God. Yet in the mind of man this seems illogical. I know you would not say that He can be only be one or the other but not Both ...

ttoews, I hope you don't feel overwhelmed by all of these questions, but I have one as well. If the good works that a saved person sees within himself gives evidence of salvation, how many good works or how much fruit is necessary for one to be assured of this salvation. Would this amount not be sub...

Vash, Definitely continue researching and praying but... Some things to consider: If God were going to reveal himself to his creation, would he wait 4700 years? (Islam start around 700 A.D.) Or would He reveal himself before any other The promise of Christ started 4000 B.C. (See Gen 3:15) And I will...

And specifically what does that mean: To "blaspheme the Holy Spirit".

Is it even possible for a saved person to do this?

Messianic Jews

Are there any Messianic Jews on this site?

I was curious what Messianic Jews believe as far as the controversial subjects are concerned like election, predestination, OSAS, etc....

Do any of you know? Or do the same controversies exists within that group as well?

I have question about this subject of whther chistians do not have to show eveidence of salvation in the form of good works. If this is true it would only be for a very immature christian, Like those discussed in 1 Corinthians When you say that a saved person may not necessarily have evidence in the...

Revelation 3:5

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. What does this mean to blot out his name from the book of life. I see that it can mean any of ...

Light, YLTYLT Call me stupid. But where are you going with that. Are you trying to say that Jesus was there in the beginning of time. If so i want to add in verse 35 when it says "For whosoever findeth me findeth Life.." It is talking about you actually being alive. because in Gods eyes wh...

Who is the man speaking in Proverb 8?
Whoever is speaking has a Lord that pocessed (not created) from the beginning before any of the Lords creation had been.
Especially look at verse 35.

Prov 8:18-35
Sounds like Jesus to me.

Vash, It seems to me, that if you are concerned enough to take time to post this question, then you have not lost faith completely. You are still searching. Don't stop. I have had those exact thoughts before as well. My personal opinion is that it is just God telling you that "You need to know ...

In verse 24, I do not think he is referring to people that were saved and then lost it. If you back up a few verses to 19, John indicates that they were not of us (not saved), or else they would have continued with us. In other words, these may have been those that "believed in vain". 18Li...

If you take this to mean only that only those that can physically hear can become saved then what about the deaf? Good point. I had not considered that. Hearing means understanding. I agree completely with what you said. I am just trying to understand the Calvinist reasoning. I am thinking that if ...

Yes I agree with that as well. I have been thinking about that verse: Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. It is my understanding that the word "WORD" here is referring to the spoken word. So unsaved people can only receive faith if the Gospel is pr...

Yes! So it would seem that not only grace but the faith with which we receive the gift of grace is a gift in a sense. Does that make sense? No. I don't see what you mean? I thought the reason we received grace is because we believed in the Gospel. Can you explain? Grace/salvation is a gift offered ...
