Re: More Trinity stuff
No, I just wanted you to read my previous post. Could you somehow identify which post you are referring to? maybe which page it is on..... It seems you're still not reading what I write. I said that grace came from the Father, grace came from the son, and grace continues to come from the Father. I ...

Re: Universal symbols for Bible books?
Sounds like it could be a good idea. Maybe a book with a cross on it.

Re: More Trinity stuff
I just want to make sure that I've already addressed not only your question, but also the argument you're leading up to ('God's grace saves, here's a passage which says that we're saved by Jesus' grace, therefore Jesus is God'). Please read my post. It shows very clearly that the grace of God came ...

Re: More Trinity stuff
Fortigurn and Pierac, I have a question for you both. Regardless of how you may believe we receive Grace, do you believe the salvation is by only by the Grace of God? Certainly not. Salvation is by grace, through our faith ('it is by faith so that it may be by grace', Romans 4:16, 'by grace you are...

Fortigurn and Pierac,
I have a question for you both. Regardless of how you may believe we receive Grace, do you believe the salvation is by only by the Grace of God? And that the Grace that saves comes from God and only God?

Re: More Trinity stuff
But the worst of what you say is that you make salvation a matter of a wage paid by Christ to God, whereas the apostles taught plainly that salvation is a free gift, not something purchased by a price. Aside from the whole discussion on the trinity: Acts 20: 27 For I have not shunned to declare unt...

Re: More Trinity stuff
Jesus was given authority. Why? because he is the Son of man. He did not have any authority of his own! ESV Num 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Here you have ...

Re: More Trinity stuff
You call that 'logical'? So now Jesus is the God of the Father and Holy Spirit, the Father is the God of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the God of the Father and Jesus? I REPEAT! It is logical in a sense that if God recognizes someone is equal to Him then this person would also b...

Re: More Trinity stuff
Sorry but Christ does not mean Savior. It means the anointed one. If Jesus is God then the question you should be asking is Who is anointing him? You would be correct in the literal translation, But this would not logically preclude the fact that the Messiah and the Savior could be the same person....

Re: More Trinity stuff
It seems quite simple to me: When scripture calls Jesus: Jesus Christ , Christ is his title. Christ means Messiah or Saviour. And as B.W. has clearly, and repeatedly pointed out from the old testament that only God can be the Savior. Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no sav...

Re: Saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
zeppmeister, I do not believe Heb 6:4-6 is referring to loss of salvation. 6:4a This word (once) comes from a Greek word meaning “once-for-all” and describes for us the one-time birth of the salvation experience (Jn 3:1-3). The writer is speaking to believers here, not believers who have fallen fro...

Fortigurns grace alone, faith alone in Christ alone
Not at all, they could well have been saved at one point, but they fell from grace. Fortigurn, Now I understand our disagreement. It is about eternal security. No, it's also about whether or not we have to repent in order to be saved, whether we are saved by grace alone, or by faith alone, or by so...

Now I understand our disagreement. It is about eternal security. If you want to discuss this further start a new thread and lets leave this discussion to Jac and Kurieuo.

Re: Saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
I know you didn't state the full gospel in that sentence. That's what I was bringing attention to. You said that this new Christian 'has heard the gospel' and 'believes it is true', but apparently he doesn't even known enough to repent of his sins and change his life. So obviously he doesn't know t...

Re: Saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
Your post also seemed to want to argue that we are not responsible for our actions, and that our works will not be judged by God, but I've already addressed that here. All people will be judged by their work . Christians will be judged on the work that they allowed God to do through them by faith a...
