Was Heaven Always Free of Sin?

I am wondering this because Satan was cast from Heaven for becoming evil, but for that to happen, wouldn't sin have to be possible in Heaven? Maybe the freedom from Sin doesn't apply to angels?

I believe the final heaven will be free of sin. the thing with any created being, including angels, is that they first have to decide between God and no God, otherwise they would not have a true loving relationship with God. Once the choice has been made, if the created being has chosen God, then God can make us free of sin because we chose to be made that way.
