Nothing wrong with the New York accent, it's just Romano's voice!
I've never seen Larry Sanders. Something about that guy(Garry Schandling) just never sat right with me.
His character was creepy, sure :)

Pro, Silver, what do you think of The Inbetweeners?
Danny, I've never heard of any of those shows before. They could well be hilarious, I've just never seen them. I watched another episode of Top Gear last night. The one where Richard drives the oversized Hummer in South Africa. That's British comedy at its best.
Top Gear can be hilarious. What American comedies would you put forward, Rick? I'd go for the old school:

1. Frasier (by a long way)
2. Family guy
3. Simpsons
4. Cheers
5. Friends

Probably in that order :P
Danny, I have a long list, in no particular order:
Classics:
All in The Family
I Love Lucy
1970's Saturday Night Live
The Jeffersons
MASH
The Odd Couple
Happy Days
Laverne and Shirley
Sanford and Son
Three's Company

Newer Classics:
In Living Color
The Cosby Show
Cheers
The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
Ren & Stimpy(probably my all-time favorite cartoon along with Spongebob)

Fairly Recent:
Friends
King of Queens
Everybody Loves Raymond
Home Improvement

And my all time favorite, most original, genius comedy:
Seinfeld
Nice list.

Some of my favorites-

I Love Lucy
The Andy Griffith Show
Frasier
Everybody Loves Raymond
King of Queens
Leave it to Beaver
Mary Tyler Moore
DVD Show
MASH
Happy Days
Young, Restless, Reformed

Leave it to Beaver
How did I forget Leave it to Beaver? That was one of my favorites, as a kid.
Oh, and I forgot The Flintstones, too.

You ever noticed the similarities between the Flinstones and the Honeymooners? There is a reason for that ...

Never watched the Inbetweeners to be honest - so never got all the hype - the film did big business here though.

Another show just came to mind - Red Dwarf - loved that.

Oh Scrubs is one of my favourites as well - the only comedy I know that can make you laugh and cry in a single episode.

The Inbetweeners was good, pretty cringeworthy at times. Some very vivid retellings of my teen years. Not quite classic comedy, I could watch reruns of Blackadder for hours, and regularly do, I don't see the same happening with The Inbetweeners. The movie's still on the one to watch list.

Red Dwarf was great in it's prime but it took a while to get going and died a slow death. The recent resurrection was awful.

Any Harry Enfield fans? about as English as comedy gets.

Yes! My favorite show, actually. I've seen every episode multiple times and I still don't get tired of it.

I think Jerry Stiller makes that show what it is. He was funny in Seinfeld, as well.

And I can't believe I forgot "The 3 Stooges". I think I've seen every 3 Stooges show.
