I just wanted to add to my post above. The Body of Christ baptism is best descirbed here.
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (Eph 1:13)
The believer is baptized by the spirit into the body upon believing. Jesus gave us Paul as our disciple. If everything that was going on in the gospels and early Acts was for us, then Paul need not have come.
