Did the Church and religious people in general resist the fact that we circle the sun, not the other way around?
Atheists push this and I'm wondering what some views of it are.
Is it true/does it condemn our views in any way?

Re: Did the Church believe in Geocentricity?
The Roman Catholic Church ''raised no objection to the new theory [of a heliocentric universe] as long as it presented itself as an hypothesis...In 1616 the Congregation of the Index forbade the reading of De Revolutionibus 'until corrected'; in 1620 it allowed Catholics to read editions from which nine sentences had been removed that presented the theory as fact.''*Short1 wrote:Did the Church and religious people in general resist the fact that we circle the sun, not the other way around?
