Am I Ready?

Post by Murray »

Just a question to the board.

I was thinking of signing up for an online ministry, pretty much I'd be helping people answer questions about life issues and questions about the bible.

Since I've been on this Forum for about a year now I think you guys would have an idea of my knowledge. My pastor agreed to refernce me, and I feel like I'm ready, but I could use some feedback from the forum freinds :D

I won't take anything at all offensively, feel free to speak your mind.

Go for it.

MInistry of this sort is really just an extension of who you are. That you're active on this forum and interacting with others just sayd that this is where your heart is and you're doing it in other areas already. I think that's how is should be. Ministry isn't about offices or positions, even online. It's about function and doing what you believe God has called you to do. If you're doing it already, that's a pretty good sign that this would be a good thing for you.

If you feel like you can handle the responsibilities/time requirements for it, I don't see why not. If you feel strongly enough about your faith and aren't afraid of what you might have to deal with (though being on this site probably helps with that preparation/what to expect). Go ahead, in my book.
