If you were God, how would you conduct life?

Post by Gman »

Seriously I think one of the best ways to understand God's heart is to put ourselves into God's shoes.

1. If you were God, would you put your messages on some remote island or put it in the center of the world? Facts show that God put his message in the center of the world.
2. Would you give your creations certain commandments to live by, commandments that promote love and protection or just let them do whatever they want and wing it? Facts show that God gave commandments that promoted love Matthew 22:37-39.
3. Would you tell your people what you should or should not eat? Facts show that God was very concerned about our diets Deuteronomy 14:3-21.
4. Would you micro manage your creation and control them like robots? Facts reveal that God gave us choices to live by Deuteronomy 30:19.
5. Would you be impartial to other races of people? Facts show that God is no respecter of persons Acts 10:34, Ephesians 6:9, Exodus 33:19.
6. Would you give them sanitary commandments to live by? Facts show that God gave sanitary laws to stop the spread of diseases Deuteronomy 23:12-13, Leviticus 15:25.
7. Would you show favoritism of the sexes? Facts show that God shows no favoritism of the sexes Galatians 3:28.
8. Would you celebrate over the death of those who opposed you? Facts show that God does not do such things Ezekiel 33:11
9. Would you want your creation to perish? Facts show that God does not want any of us to perish 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:4, Genesis 45:5-7.
10. Would you be kind to the evil? Facts show that God is even kind to the oppressors Luke 6:35
11. Would you even be forgiving to those who broke your commandments? Facts show that God is forgiving of those who breaks His commandments of love Daniel 9:9
12. Would you give your life to your creation in love? Facts show that God died for His creation John 3:16.

Whenever I need a little boost, I meditate on such things. I hope this helps.. :)

Dan
1Tim1:15-17
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

good stuff Gman :)
Our rightousness is of filthy rags and in the eyes of God all have gone astray and nobody is justified under the Law. We are saved by the Grace of God through our faith in Him and in Him who he has sent Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way.

One thing I do not understand: suffering of innocent.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

No one is truly innocent before G-d... We all have failed Him in one way or another, even those who claim to be a part of Him.
