Re: Salvation: A Difficult Matter
Only God can transform people TD. All we can do is point to the truth.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Will be praying for you and yours, T.D.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Re: Salvation: A Difficult Matter
I know of far too many people who have had their way to Christ "stumbled" by Christians.tdybas2 wrote:Hello fellow creatures of God,
I am currently desperate for prayer, so I thought I'd post a comment and, hopefully, one or two of you will see it and lift me up in prayer. My prayer request is for the salvation of my family members (mother, father, and brother) and for a dear friend of mine whose name is David. Out of them all, my friend David is in the one who is most in need of prayer. He is extremely, extremely intelligent and has a beautiful soul yet, because he had negative experiences with the Catholic church at a young age, he is hostile towards Catholicism and Christianity. He writes many hate-filled blog posts on religion and because he is extremely intelligent and a wonderful scientist, many individuals read his posts and take them as truth. However, he is far from it. Please pray that Satan and all of his unrighteous spirits will be bound and will no longer have dominion over his, and my family's, lives and that the Holy Spirit will enter their hearts, revealing to them Truth. Also pray that I will not turn my family's and friend's salvation into an idol, and that I may have patience, humility, and love as God starts His work in their hearts. Any prayer will be greatly appreciated, even if it is quick and simple. Sometimes, those prayers are best
Thank you and please be blessed,
T.D
Far too many...
And the worse to get "through" to are the ones that are intelligent and "studied".
Simply because they have research and studied with preconceived notions, LOOKING to discredited what they feel MUST be discredited.
The zeal of a "convert" if you will.
As much as the HS is the only one that can help them, we must also do our part and NOT be the stumbling block that keeps them in the dark.
We must try to answer their questions with honesty and understanding and sympathy to their pain.
We must try to educate ourselves in our faith than has more than ONE view of the many doctrines they have issues with AND we must try to help them understand what it truly means to place our hopes on Jesus Christ and not try to "bully" them by talks of "hell, damnation, etc, etc".
We must help them to understand that the choice of Christ is the choice of LOVE not a choice of fear.
The choose Christ means to choose life, to choose love, to choose a God that would rather DIE for US than to send us to "hell".
To help them understand that to turn away from Christ is to turn away from Love and compassion, from a Lord that gives us ALL and asks us to love each other as He loved us.
How on earth is that a bad thing?
