Hi all,
Normally I don't share my writings too much, but this is something I feel I should share. I wrote it after a song in church yesterday touched me.
Enjoy or criticize, but do read it.
The Conversation:
Who am I, God?
So perfectly imperfect?
So naturally sinful?
So loving and hateful?
So sad and happy?
So vengeful, peaceful, lazy, loyal, bad, good, evil, holy?
So everdoubtingly seeking?
Who am I, God, that you would consider me?
My dearest child, without you
I am a gift that can never be given,
I am knowledge that can never be applied,
I am salvation that can never be accepted,
I am wisdom that can never be consumed,
I am forgiveness that can never be received,
I am peace that can never be enjoyed,
I am grace that can never be shared,
I am love that can never be felt,
I am life that can never be lived.

Acts 17:24-25 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. [25] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."

Those, I believe, could very well be the reasons why God made us in the first place! I like that.My dearest child, without you

Heh... The arts are funny that way. It just hit me after seeing it again a month later - that's awesome August. Esspecially the last 2 lines. So often we forget in the midst of our pitifulness that each of us is important to God (though the word 'important' does not do justice to the concept here) Anyways, thanks for the reminder. Oh, I'll have to link our newest member over to this.
