This is something that I have thought about, what if Satan isn't the name of the evil one, but just a title given to people who do evil? Satan means accuser or adversary, and Jesus referred to Peter as satan when he refused to accept Christ would die on the cross.
So, what do you think? When Christ referred specifically to a chief evil being, He referred to him as "the evil one", not satan. He refers to those who try to stop Him and ruin His designs as satan twice, to two different beings.
Satan- A title, not a being?

Hmmm...
Well, Satan was once the numero uno angel, Lucifer. But I think he self-named himself (since he probably couldn't stand a God-given name, youknowwhaI'msayin?) Satan to signify his hatred of God.
Satan, as in Lucifer the Evil One, definetely exist. I think it was Peter Kreeft who said "It's equally bad to be obessed with the devil and also to not care."

doesn't it say in the bible that he was the most beautiful of the angels ?
Church tradition tells us that when John, son of Zebadee and brother of James was an old man, his disciples would carry him to church in their arms.
He would simply say, “Little children, love one another”
After a time his disciples wearied at always hearing these same words and asked “Master why do you always say this?
He replied, “it is the Lords command, and if done, it is enough”
