Exodus 20 And Exodus 34

Post by efg102 »

How would you answer someone who says that the 10 commandments in Exodus 20 are different than the ones in Exodus 34?

Take note, at the beginning of 34, God says He will write the Commandments again. While on the mountain, as you know, He then tells Moses some additional information, BUT he tells Moses to write those words down, so what God says on the mountain is not what ends up on the two tablets, because God said He would do the writing on them, not Moses.

They were not different, Scripture is very clear about it.
Acts 17:24-25 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. [25] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."
