Eternity
One of the problems I have been having is dealing with eternity. When I think of eternity I get scared. I wonder what it would be like in heaven for an eternity. Even if it is the greatest place ever after say maybe a million years I feel I would be really bored and depressed from doing everything there is to do and then spend an eternity bored and depressed.

Re: Eternity
I am not scared of it. I like beutiful things and could stare at them or listen to them for eternity. Beautiful gardens, wonderful melody. Also loving my friends I can imagine being with them for eternity, having joy, etc.
Is there something in your life that you like so much that you even stop to take care of time?

But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

I like to think of it more as timeless than eternal. We will just kind of "be" without any concept of time (which is often linked to the increase of entropy and decay).

Seeker,
Read the verse B. W. posted. It's very encouraging to a believer.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
“A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves.”

Re: Eternity
Well I rather be there than in Hell having no fun( the most fun and enjoying thing you can imagine on earth would not even compare to whats in Heaven.)
Re: Eternity
Sounds like you need what God says you need: a foretaste, God's Spirit within, evidenced by the new prayer language - Acts 2:4, 33, 39.Seeker wrote:One of the problems I have been having is dealing with eternity.
