Well I'm going to bow out of this thread. I know a dead end when I see one, and with all due respect, you all seem so horrified by the aesthetics and visuals of the practice that you aren't willing or interested in thinking about this apart from that. And that's fine. It saddens me a bit that people who I respect so much and who tend to be rather objective in their various analyses are taking this approach, but it is what it is. Let me just say that I completely get why you would be disgusted and I don't blame any of you for that at all. I wouldn't have it done to my little boy either.
