Why does the bible say God is a vengeful & jealous God
I forgot which passage but why does it say this? I thought he was all of Love not jealousy and vengefulness etc

It is an anthropomorphism. Assign human traits to a non-human being. Just means that God closely guards what he considers right and has righteous anger against what he considers wrong.
You can still love someone and be angry at that person.

Silvertusk is correct and I would only add that OUR understanding of God has gotten better since His Son showed how He truly is.
If you wish to "see" God, look at The Son.
