nice find, thanks for sharing.
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.
I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

More on that gold medallion found near the Temple Mount. As you can see the base has three legs. The Talmud (Menachot 28b) says that the base had three legs that rose three tefachim high (i.e., approx. 10.5"). Along the tops of the lamps was a bar to hold the branches together. Since the menorah was made of pure gold, the gold would have been soft and could have bended. This the bar at the top was there to hold it all together..
"Archaeologists working at the foot of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount unearthed a 1,400-year-old trove of jewelry and gold coins that’s being described as "a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime discovery."

The symbolism is profound - The three Legs - the tri-unity of one God and the menorah lamps well these verses speak form themselves: Rev 1:20, Rev 1:4 and the long stem from base to the seven lamp branches represents Israel and each of the seven branches to the Lamps represents Jesus Christ for he is called the branch... The seven flames - represent the seven spirits of God... The lamps as stated in Rev are the seven churches...Gman wrote:More on that gold medallion found near the Temple Mount.
