But seriously, P90X. Good for all levels of fitness. Or you could try bench pressing sheep.
Seriously, P90X.

Re: Random question
Don't you want to play xbox? There are many great plays where you have to move and you will sweat.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Just looking for a DVD I can whack on to do about an hours exercise a couple of times a week to start losing weight. I am not "Fat" by any stretch, but I am overweight and very unfit. I want to be able to run around after my three year old and not feel so tired all the time. Quitting being a teacher might also help as well I add - but that will have to wait.
Paul - the 90X one cost about £100 - a little steep for me - was thinking of a tenner.

Re: Random question
If you aren't very fit just now, like me, I suggest instead of following a video you do 15-20 mins of exercises you are comforatble with a few times a week. Once that is in place you can build on it if required. A little meditation/prayer before and after works wonders imo. When I get the chance I do 25 push ups, 50 sit ups & some kung fu or chi kung forms. Running works wonders too, I hate running as a pastime but can tolearate it as a form of transport now and again. Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kun Do is worth a look for anyone interested in physical fitness,

Re: Random question
Hmmm ... assuming your weather is permitting, there's something an even less expensive thing you could do. It's what I've done the past nearly three years (hard to believe it's been that long). Three years ago I was a FAT, 6' tall, ~310 lb. 56YO. ~3 years ago I started seriously watching what and how much I ate, using MyFitnessPal. Then a couple of months later I started walking for exercise. It started as a use of spare time, but I soon started making it a regular thing. 20-30 minutes of really vigorous walking is good exercise, and depending on how overweight you are, burns 8-10 calories (actually, kilo-calories IIRC) per minute. As I expanded what I was doing to 5-6 days a week, 40-60 minutes a day, my son got me to register for a 5K fun run/walk (2011). For Christmas he registered me for an 8K run/walk, and for my birthday a half-marathon; I've done a couple halfs and 10Ks since. So I guess I've become a serious walker, but you don't have to go that far with walking/running. My weight is down in the 220-230 range - still overweight, but not nearly as badly so (I'd mention the changes in my shirt and pants sizes, except clothing sizing in the UK is probably quite different). And I'm probably in better shape than I've been since high school (or maybe ever). The cost has been buying suitable shoes and some suitable outfits (size changes had some effect in this, though I started with things I already had on hand). I did join a gym, about a year ago, but that was only after over a year and a half of developing the habits and self-discipline (you cannot buy self-discipline).

Re: Random question
Put your three year old in a stroller and go for a short or long walk! And let the three year old walk beside the stroller on and off. I do this and love it. All the best.
