what is marriage annulment all about? does the bible talk about it? how does it work? and what cases is it for?

I'm not sure of all the reasons annulment can occur but some of them make sense. If a person were under the influence of a drug or alcohol at the time of the wedding the can apply for annulment: If the marriage was never consumated: If the person blatantly lied, ie, used a fake name because he was still married to someone else. I know of one case where the marriage was annuled because of adultery. It basically claims that the marriage should never have taken place for some reason. A catholic priest could probably shed some light on it. I only say that because I think Roman Catholics have more rules laid down on the subject but I'm not sure. They could probably also put scriptures in place, however, I know of none.
