He has, but it is you who refuse to hear...Kenny wrote:What’s the worst that could happen if God were to address the entire world at once, in a language that each of us could understand; and cleared up all the misunderstandings we have of him? Why doesn’t he do this?

You obviously have a naive understanding of human nature.
The 1950 movie - "Next Voice You Hear," addressed this. At first people listened with wonder but the end result, after the last message, people reverted back to how they always lived. Pretty much how they respond to the bible too...

I believe it is a mistake to assume people behave the way they do in the movies. Here are a few things I think would happen if a voice did come from the sky to clear up all the misunderstandings and it was the God discribed in the bible:B. *The media would record this event with modern technology and the entire planet would have scientific proof that this God is real, and Atheists would become pretty much extinct
*All Christians would be on one accord when it comes to what God wants and what is necessary to get into heaven; example the issue of speaking in tounges, the trinity, once saved always saved, Hell fire, Stories in the Bible really happened or not, etc. all these issues christians disagree on and often causes the plethora of denominitons that currently exist would no longer be an issue
*Most of those of false religions would convert to the real religion.
*Those of false religions or no religion at all who still refuse to accept the true God would still have the option to deny, but they will not have the credibility they have now that allows them to convert others to their way of thinking.
These are a few of the things I believe would happen if an audible voice came from the sky in the scenerio I discribed before. Do you agree? If not; please explain why

If you know, then why you mentioned that challenge going for 30 years?

I presume he won't accept any of the thousands of documented miracles that have defied the laws of nature, including the incorruptibles, will he? Of course not. What he'll say is that some day science will have an answer as to how these miracles occurred (as if that in and of itself will diminish them from being miracles indeed).Kenny wrote:He spoke of things happening outside the laws of nature, I mentioned a person who had a million dollare challenge for anyone who could demonstrate acts outside the laws of nature and it hasn't been collected on1over137 wrote:Why?Kenny wrote:I found it revelant to the conversation.1over137 wrote:If you know, then why you mentioned that challenge going for 30 years?

It has to be done under observed conditions; and he (or his representives) has to be the one allowed to observe it. He is a skeptic; and as any skeptic will tell you, just because it has been documented doesn't mean it actually happened as claimed.Byblos wrote:I presume he won't accept any of the thousands of documented miracles that have defied the laws of nature, including the incorruptibles, will he? But getting back to the subject at hand; on post #197 I listed a few things I felt would happen if a voice did come from the sky. I never recieved a response to the claim I made; would you mind giving a reply?

Yeah, that's what I thought, a skeptic.Kenny wrote:It has to be done under observed conditions; and he (or his representives) has to be the one allowed to observe it. He is a skeptic; and as any skeptic will tell you, just because it has been documented doesn't mean it actually happened as claimed.
Yes, see your skeptic above. But you tell me, what do you think most people will say when they hear a voice in the sky telling them he's God?Kenny wrote:But getting back to the subject at hand; on post #197 I listed a few things I felt would happen if a voice did come from the sky. Of course they will all be frauds. The only one who can prove beyond any doubt that miracles could happen is God.
