Time, God, Satan, and Apple Pie

Post by AttentionKMartShoppers »

No this has nothing to do with apple tie. I needed a filler. Anyways, my problem is this-God is timeless/eternal. And time is the procession of events. The Bible goes and says that Satan rebelled against God, and God sent him and his followers to hell. That qualifies as a procession of events. Even if you go and define time as something else...then has Satan been eternally fallen or what? Anyone who sees my problem, help.

My own position is that God was timeless and entered into temporality. There is a thread where a discussion of God and time was discussed between Jac and I rather deeply on the old board (see http://discussions.godandscience.org/ol ... php?t=3263). I'm open to discussing any questions regarding my position if desired.

It is my opinion that "time" existed prior to the Fall as we know it. We normally think of the Fall after Creation. I believe that time began at the "Big Bang" and that between that point and Adam and Eve is when Satan rebelled. I believe that only God (the Trinity) can be "outside" of time. All the rest of His created are subject to time...while all but humanity are in a sort of "limbo" for lack of a better word, outside of time as we know it here on Earth.

Can I substanciate this opinion? No.
