I'm not sexist although I understand that you think I am. You are wrong. Unfortunately, the nature of a Forum doesn't allow us to gauge another's personality very well. I would venture to say that we all suffer from tunnel vision insofar as getting-to-know the other on these forums. Another way to understand this is to consider that each individual is like a room with the lights out; you, sitting in Australia, shine a little flashlight into my darkened room and catch only a glimpse of who I am.

Nope. My perception of you has only been enriched, not changed. I like the fact that you can speak your mind. That you did it by being frank with me is admirable.

If it means anything I apologise on behalf of these clowns.
Your apology is accepted, Dan2:20. Thank you

I hope you are just joking my friend
Actually I did care, and its not because of her avatar. I thought we had started on the wrong foot and considering that Mel was new here, I was hoping she would get to know us better, and I am glad she saw that too.
Some of my good friends here are people whom I have never seen, and that was true even before I saw Hana's picture, she can attest to it I am sure. Same goes for you, Dan, Mallz, Ivel, Danny, Paul, Bippy, reactionary, and then some more.
I think people are more than their photos and their ideas.
Of course I was joking! Don't you know me by now?!
Still, I would like to see melanie with the avatar of a 440-lb woman with dirty hair and a cigarette dangling from the corner of her mouth

FL is a cheeky bugger, he is quite the stirrer and says things I think to get a reaction out of people. I took the bait. It's all good I have a thick skin and a good sense of humour, in saying that it may be questionable how far he takes it.
Dan2:20 is Aussie, just like you. He also talks with a funny accent and drives on the wrong side of the road. There will naturally be less cultural misunderstanding between you and he
Silvertusk wrote:You actually did it to me a little while ago when i was going through my crisis of faith.
No I didn't, Silver. If you scroll up and read Seraph's harangue to me, he implied that I was ''berating'' others for not being ''real'' Christians. The Bible is quite clear in that you either are, or are not, a Christian. There are no half measures, you either are on the narrow path or you are on the wide path that leads to destruction. Moreover, once on the narrow path, you cannot get off. In other words, once saved, your salvation is secure.
The only time I question someone's Christianity is when they make a comment along these lines: ''I used to be a Christian but after looking into it, I've decided to become an atheist/Buddhist/what-have-you
ist. Such people were never saved in the first place, therefore, not Christian in the biblical sense.
