WORLD WAR 1

For some, like JW’s, it was the 'the time of the end'

For others, it was believed to be ~> The War to End All Wars

Still for some, It was the beginning of a new type of era, a new age of enlightment

Gone were the days of innocence for America..
For America ~> had stepped into a new world role..
One which we continue today on the world stage

Sad to think, that ~> that new role has been engulfed in war and world dominance to keep what some would term as “ours” ., while the whole world hungers for what we have discovered in Christ

Are we the new rich man versus Lazarus?

As an old ready to retire chief of mine put it bluntly ~> pretty much the same way as an old gone by the wayside US President once said.,
‘the world wants what we have, but we’re not going to give it to them!’

Why not?

Are we to use Christianity as a type of old Colonialism?

Have we become so blind and arrogant?

Why do we think of ourselves, so special?

Has a hundred years of wars not taught us anything?

Have we become the New Rome, and with such, we dictate to others what is and what is not?

History does indeed repeat itself., for we have learned nothing from it!

Here we are looking at news events, wars, political troubles, epidemics, immigration and whatnot., and all we can think of is
~> ‘our interests' …

How far we have drifted., just like old Israel., how far we've gone astray from the rightful path

Please forgive me., for it is just a passing thought that weighs heavy on me when I watch the news and, I ponder on our history as a young blessed nation
Your outward profession of having put on Christ, has as yet to put off Plato from your heart!

A lot of issues here. All related. Have thought about them quite a bit. Slightly concerned for the complete breakdown of a competitive and workable economy, and the introduction of global poverty under socialist republics.
The whole world is being whittled down into one system of dependency. There will be a few rich, while the majority will be poor and enslaved.

While the rich man and Lazarus applies, genuine prosperity came by principles of freedom and not from idol worshiping child molesting kingdoms. But how soon were these privileges degraded into abuse again. Slavery, war, materialism, atheism, and false religions, and the resulting corruption.

America was the leading country when it came to prosperity. But it quickly went too far, just like England, and became despotic, greedy and cruel.

Communism has some correct views of economy, but it goes too far removing just about every human incentive and freedom.

Greed and slavery go together.
Under communism the majority are slaves. Under capitalism the majority are well off compared to communism, but at the expense of other nations and races. So both cause slavery. Egypt all over again.

Countries and tribes which are independent, surviving from the land, such as in Africa, are being systematically controlled and completely wiped out in many cases, by disease, famine, social and civil strife. One world, one so called economy.

This comment reduces the complexities of ecnomic system challenges to some sort of black and white commentary about about whether an economic system is inherently good or bad. NO system is any better or worse than those who run the system, who implement its complex workings. So it's not the SYSTEM that is the REAL problem, it is the often-sinful, greedy and callous hearts of those that run ANY system that make it bad. ALL centralized, government-run systems that have no real citizen input or power tend to be far more corrupt. But even a monarchy can be wonderful IF it is ruled by a just and wise king. Supply and demand and profit incentives are NOT inherently bad and actually have produced the highest economic prosperity the world has ever seen. But capitalisim can also be abused by the very same greedy types. It takes wisdom and maturity to not covet materialism. But go into any socialist or communist systems and you'll see ruling elites prospering amidst their poor masses. These systems also produce the least incentives to prosper, and well fertilize laziness. The desire to make a good living and reasonable profits and that have benefits for all that are directly and indirectly touched by it are NOT a bad thing! To see chronic abuses by the same types of greedy people has nothing to do with the system, but some of the crooked people within it. As long as human beings are running and economic system, one must expect their will be greed and corruptions. But that is a heart and mind problem and not one of economics, but of one's spiritual values. And this is true no matter the country, economic system or nationalities involved!
