What exactly is Armageddon?
Is it a gathering place or an event (battle)? What does the Bible say about it? Does it refer to either the end of the world or the final battle between good and evil?

Armageddon is the last World War that will occur when all the nations of the earth attack Israel. Armageddon is described in Daniel 11:40-45, Zechariah 14:1-3 and Revelation 16:14-16. The site of the final conflagration is in northern Israel, on the plain of Meggido, also known as HarMagedon.
